After announcing that they had parted ways with Abhirup "Lightningfast" Paul Choudhury, Global Esports revealed that the player has made his return to the organization and will compete for the team in the 2024 season. This marks the second signing of the offseason for the Pacific League representatives.

Lightningfast is back on the Global Esports lineup

Global Esports had a disappointing run in the 2023 season. The organization made a couple of roster changes during the season, and they parted ways with all of the active players on the lineup. Lastly, they announced the departures of SKRossi, Monyet, and Lightningfast. A couple of days after the announcement, Monyet signed a new contract with Paper Rex and on the same day, Global Esports made their first signing of the offseason by acquiring Benkai. Today, the Pacific League representatives announced their second signing of the offseason, and it is not a stranger to the team. Lightningfast made his return to the team, and he will continue to compete under the GE roof in 2024.

Lightningfast’s professional VALORANT career started with Global Esports, and it looks like it will continue at least for another year. He joined the team in the last month of 2020, and since then, he competed for the organization in different tournaments and organizations. He also played in the VCT 2023 Pacific League challenge and despite not making it to the international stage, he still played against some of the best players of the world.

Lightningfast currently holds a 1.09 rating and a 1.14 K/D. His last appearance with Global Esports was back on April 22 against PAper Rex. The Indian player picked Raze and held a 0.91 rating and failed to prevent a 113-6 loss.

With Lightningfast’s arrival, Global Esports now have two players on their active roster. Here is the current roster of the team:

Esports enthusiast, sneaker freak, and a huge sports fan (of course football and basketball, the only sports that matter) from Istanbul/Turkey.
