    Masters Toronto Preview: Schedule, teams, format, and more

    Get ready to go north of the border, VALORANT fans. Riot Games is finally making a stop in Canada, and VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025 will be welcoming some of the most talented players in the world. 12 of the best teams from every region will be colliding in an epic competition to decide who will reign supreme.

    The event will take place from June 7 to June 22, at the Enercare Centre in Toronto, Canada, and will play host to some of the most exciting matches we’ve seen this year. Whether you’re attending the tournament live or watching it from the comfort of your home, you’ll want to stay updated on everything around the tournament.

    Here is all the information you’ll need to know before the tournament begins.

    Masters Toronto: Format and Schedule

    Swiss Stage

    On June 7, Masters Toronto will begins with the Swiss stage matches between the second and third placed teams from Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China. The Swiss stage will take place over five days, between June 7 to June 11 with a Dark Day before the Playoffs begin.

    During the Swiss stage, each game day will begin at 12pm ET. Each match will be a best-of-three, with the top four teams qualifying for the playoffs. The rest of the teams will be eliminated from the tournament.

    Playoffs

    After Swiss stage, the playoffs will begin on June 13 to 22. This portion of the event will be a double-elimination bracket, with the four qualified teams from the Swiss stage meeting with the four winners from each region. All of the matches in the playoffs will be best-of-three, save for the lower bracket finals and the Grand Finals, which are best-of-fives.

    The schedule for the playoffs should look like this, but could change:

    By adjusting how many points teams get at Masters, Riot has made Masters Toronto that much more important for your favorite teams' potential qualification to Champions 2025. Matches during the regular stages will still give out one points per win, but now, the top teams at Masters Toronto will be earning more points. Here is the breakdown for the best teams:

    • First place: Seven points
    • Second place: Five points
    • Third place: Four points
    • Fourth Place: Three points
    • Fifth Place: Two points
    • Sixth Place: Two points

    A good performance will be imperative for those who wish to continue representing their region at the next big international event.

    Overall, there are seven American members on the talent lineup for Masters Toronto, with five members from the United Kingdom, one from South Korea, one from Spain, one from Canada, and one from Australia. Alex "Goldenboy" Mendez and Yinsu Collins will be hosting, Lee "Jennlee" Jeong-hyun will be the stage host, and Mimi "aEvilcat" Wermcrantz, Beatriz "kaquka" Alonso, and Shopify Rebellion Gold's in-game leader meL will be your analysts. The rest of the talent will be commentating on the games, spread across the tournament in duos or triocasts.

    There are only two available drops that you can acquire from Masters Toronto. It is a title called "Fam," and a spray that features Phoenix walking away from a melted snowman. The spray is humorously titled Sorry, Bro!

    • Fam title: Tune into a Live Match between June 7 to June 21.
    • Sorry, Bro! spray: Tune into a live match during the Grand Finals on June 22.

    How to watch Masters Toronto 2025

    Whether you’re sitting at your PC on your couch on your TV, there are plenty of ways to watch Masters Toronto from home. You can catch all of the Masters Toronto matches on the official VCT channels on Twitch and YouTube, so prepare for June 7, because that’s when all the action will take place. There are also a plethora of co-streamers that will be broadcasting the tournament live, so if you’d rather watch with your favorite content creator, check to see if they’ve gotten co-streaming rights for the event.
