As a result of the team's poor performance, [team= 1066] parted ways with [player= 24021] and [player= 35782].

Movistar Riders had a very difficult challenge to stay for the next season of VRL - Spain: Rising - Stage 1 - Main Event, as they had 3 points deducted at the start. The reason for this penalty is the violation of the regulations during the open qualification for VCT 2022 - EMEA - Stage 1 - Challengers - Main Event. The European team lost their first three games and it seemed that they would have to fight in relegations.

They performed much better in the next weeks, but still it wasn't enough to get into the playoffs. In the relegations Movistar Riders already lost against Team Heretics and Arctic Gaming, so they failed to stay in the league. After these defeats, MRS decided to replace Extreme and mcnuggets, who both terminated their contracts with the Spanish organization. Currently they are looking for a new home.

Now Movistar Riders is:

Czech Republic [player= 1073] Spain [player= 3641] Denmark [player= 35783] Spain [player= 35580] - Coach
