Spanish artist Mushkaa puts a new spin on VALORANT anthem Villain ahead of VCT EMEA Stage 2 Barcelona
When it comes to delivering banger music anthems for esports events, Riot Games is second to none. The VALORANT anthem, “Villain,” reimagined by Spanish artist Mushkaa, is another addition to an impressive list of incredible songs.
The reason is clear: the VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - EMEA Stage 2 are taking place in Barcelona, so Riot’s goal is to blend Spanish and Catalan culture with the energy of VALORANT esports.
Everything you need to know about Mushkaa and the remix
Riot’s VALORANT team is releasing a special Spanish and Catalan language remix of the game’s anthem, “Villain,” to hype fans ahead of the VCT EMEA Stage 2 Finals, which will take place in Barcelona this August. The original song was released in 2024 and has now surpassed 6.6 million streams on Spotify.
Mushkaa is a local artist and one of the leading voices in the Catalan urban music scene. She is well known for her ability to create distinctive and unforgettable melodies, along with compelling lyrics. In 2024, she toured for more than 30 concerts, and in 2025, she released her first full length album, Nova Bossa. The 11 tracks were recorded with Brazilian musicians, cementing her reputation as one of the most unique voices in the Catalan scene.
She has also collaborated with artists such as Guillem Gisbert and Maria Jaume. The album premiered with a sold out show in Barcelona before leading into a tour that included performances at major festivals such as Observa Festival, Sónar, and Festival Vida, among many others.
This will be the first VCT EMEA roadshow event outside of Berlin, so a Spain themed remix should help bring the spirit of the country to life. The remix will debut during the finals, which will take place at the Olímpic Arena in Badalona from August 28 to 30. Tickets for the Stage 2 Finals in Barcelona are available at riot.com/vctbcn.
Mushkaa on having the chance to remix VALORANT’s anthem:
When Riot approached me about reimagining Villain, I immediately loved the idea of bringing something from my own world into a song that already means so much to the VALORANT community. It was important to me that this version felt true to who I am as an artist, celebrating both Spanish and Catalan language and culture while keeping the energy and intensity that makes the original so powerful.
To debut this remix live in Barcelona, in front of thousands of fans during the VCT EMEA Stage 2 Finals, makes this collaboration even more special. Barcelona has played such an important part in my journey, so being able to welcome one of the biggest esports events in the world through music is something I'm incredibly proud to be part of.
