New VALORANT agent Veto revealed: A unique spin on the Sentinel role
The new VALORANT agent has been officially revealed. After three weeks of action at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions, the day of the Grand Finals proved to be the perfect occasion to reveal Veto, including his complete ability kit, release date, and more. Let's have a look!
Veto Abilities
Hailing from Senegal, Veto, or VALORANT agent 29, will have a unique set of abilities with a heavy focus on anti-utility.
Chokehold [Q]
EQUIP a viscous fragment of your mutation. FIRE to throw. The fragment deploys upon impact, creating a trap to hold enemies in place. Held enemies are Deafened and Decayed. Enemies can destroy the trap before activation.
Crosscut [C]
EQUIP a vortex. FIRE to place on the ground. While in range and looking at the vortex, REACTIVATE to teleport to the vortex. During the BUY PHASE, the vortex can be reclaimed to be REDEPLOYED.
Interceptor [E]
EQUIP an Interceptor. FIRE to place the Interceptor at projected location. Once placed, RE-USE to activate. Once active, it will destroy any utility that would BOUNCE off a player and/or be destroyed naturally by gunfire. Enemies can destroy the Interceptor.
Evolution [X]
INSTANTLY begin to fully mutate, gaining a combat stim, regeneration, and becoming IMMUNE to all forms of debuffs.
While some parts of Veto's kit clearly draw inspiration from other agents in VALORANT, the new agent will remain a unique Sentinel option for players looking to try something different.
Empowered by an unstoppable DNA mutation, utility will often prove futile up against Veto, meaning gunplay will be your only guarantee when faced with VALORANT's newest agent in battle.
