Thursday’s second match of the day between Paper Rex and T1 was one of the most anticipated of the tournament, and Paper Rex didn’t disappoint. The two Pacific powerhouses faced off in the upper semifinals, and it was PRX who came out on top with a clean 2-0 sweep. Thanks to their 15 Championship Points, PRX has now secured their spot at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions.

In the match against T1, PRX showcased high-level teamplay under pressure. Wang "Jinggg" Jing Jie delivered a standout performance, top-fragging on both maps. He ended the series with the highest stats overall: 44 kills, 320 ACS, and a 1.52 rating.

Qualified for Finals Weekend in Tokyo

It wasn’t just a Champions qualification on the line in PRX’s clash against T1 — the winner would also lock in a top-three finish in playoffs, securing a spot at Finals Weekend in Tokyo. With this win, PRX moves on to the Upper Final, where they’ll face TALON on August 17. On X, PRX celebrated their qualification for Champions Paris but emphasized that the ultimate goal remains lifting the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Pacific Stage 2 trophy.

    Momentum from Masters

After winning VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025, PRX has kept the momentum rolling, dominating the Pacific playoffs with a string of 2-0 victories. Their only stumble? A surprise 0-2 loss to ZETA DIVISION. Since then, they’ve continued their run in the upper bracket and seem hard to stop.

    Four Teams Qualified

With Fnatic's win against Apeks during Wednesday’s EMEA matches, and today’s victory for PRX over T1, four teams have now qualified for Champions Paris: G2 Esports, Sentinels, Fnatic, and PRX. Three more spots remain up for grabs in Pacific — two will be filled by the Tokyo Finalists, and the third will be determined by Championship Points.

Stay tuned to THESPIKE.GG for all things VALORANT.
