Paper Rex extend d4v41 and something's contracts till 2026
Paper Rex have officially confirmed that Khalish "d4v41" Rusyaidee and Ilya "something" Petrov will remain with the team through 2026. Both players have been integral to PRX’s success over the past few seasons, helping the team maintain its identity as one of the most dynamic and fearless squads in competitive VALORANT.
d4v41’s Legacy
d4v41 has been with Paper Rex since the organization’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive days, transitioning to VALORANT in 2021 alongside his teammates. Despite a modest start in their debut year, PRX held onto a core group that would serve as the foundation of future success.
Since then, d4v41 has remained one of the most reliable and consistent performers in VALORANT’s top-flight competition. His experience and adaptability have been crucial in anchoring PRX’s chaotic yet calculated playstyle. Over the years, he evolved into backbone of the team, guiding them through numerous deep international runs.
something’s Explosive Addition
something joined Paper Rex in March 2023, just as the organization entered the inaugural VCT 2023 - Pacific League as an official partner team. His addition marked a turning point for PRX. While their campaign at VCT 2023 - LOCK//IN fell short, it didn’t take long for the revamped squad to make history. Paper Rex went on to win the first-ever VCT Pacific title, place third at VCT 2023 - Masters Tokyo, and narrowly missed international glory after finishing second at VCT 2023 - Champions.
Since then, something and d4v41 have been instrumental in Paper Rex’s continued dominance, helping the team claim two more Pacific titles – VCT 2024 - Pacific Stage 1 and VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Pacific Stage 2 – and finally lifting an international trophy at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025, becoming the third Pacific team to do so.
Words from Paper Rex Leadership
Chief Gaming Officer Harley “dsn” Örwall expressed his excitement about the extensions, stating:
“The team has not only grown closer together but also grown up together—we’re really proud of that. We've certainly come a long way with both d4v41 and something. I’m glad to have them continue on our journey as a team and compete under the Paper Rex banner.”
With both stars confirmed for 2026, Paper Rex look poised to remain a dominant force in VALORANT’s ever-evolving competitive landscape.
