Potential bucky changes are on the way

Since its release, VALORANT has had its fair share of weapons that need to either be toned down or buffed to be on the same level, with the Operator being one of the most famous occurrences as its power split the community and professional players’ opinions. The latest to be under question is the bucky, notoriously known for how deadly it is in the hands of a flying Jett.

Taylor "drone" Johnson posted a couple of clips showcasing the bucky in action, and they don’t look fun to play against at all. Luckily, VALORANT Game Designer Nicholas Wu Smith was there to reply and reassure the community the state of the weapon in the current meta is being looked into.

Naturally, the bucky is a shotgun, which means it can and should excel at close range duels. Another thing to note is its viability as a weapon beyond pistol rounds when everyone has automatic rifles. However, in the clips showcased, and in others shared by the community, its superiority over automatic rifles is rather questionable to say the least.
