Riot Games, the developer of VALORANT, announced a new map for the recently introduced game mode Team Deathmatch. Team Deathmatch was released on June 27, 2023, with Patch 7.0. During the initial release of the game mode, there were three maps, PIAZZA, DISTRICT, and KASBAH and finally, a new map is introduced called Drift. The new map will be available for all the players starting from December 5, 2023.

New map for Team Deathmatch

The new Team Deathmatch map features long site lines, weaving routes through Mid and a fresh new look for VALORANT inspired by Thailand. The new map has a new three-lane TDM layout with zip lines and new weaving routes in the Mid, allowing players to take more dynamic engagements.

Joey Simas, Lead Map Designer, here is what he had to say when asked about the inspiration for the map.

For gameplay we wanted to create a long range space that players would enjoy fighting over. There’s lots of aim duels to be had but there’s also arope overhead that players can jump up to and quickly swap lanes. Artistically wetook inspiration from Thailand and its floating markets
