Former Team Vikings player Gustavo "Sacy" Rossi has announced today that he is out of contract with the Brazilian team. The organization and himself have clarified that Sacy could re-sign with Team Vikings, but for the time being, his future remains unknown.

Sacy had been a key part of the Team Vikings roster since joining about a year ago, in December 2020. From that time on, the team have been dominant in Brazil, most notably winning the first ever VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - Brazil Masters, winning VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - Brazil - Challengers Finals to qualify for VCT 2021 - Stage 2 - Masters Reykjavík, where they placed an impressive 5th-6th, and then a group stage run at the biggest event of the year, VCT 2021 - VALORANT Champions 2021, where they were beaten in the playoffs decider by Team Secret.

The Brazilian is one of the most eye-catching players on Sova, playing him with his unique, aggressive style with which he found a lot of success. The numbers speak for themselves, Sacy boasting a 1.37 rating and 253 ACS over the last three months. Even though his team made an early exit, Sacy still sits atop the player rankings at Champions and it will take a monster effort to dethrone him from that spot.

Sacy will no doubt be fielding plenty of calls from Brazilian teams wanting to make him a part of their roster going into the 2022 VCT season. Wherever he goes, Sacy will certainly be the man to look out for from the South American region.

With the departure of Sacy, Team Vikings are now:

Brazil Gustavo "gtnziN" Moura Brazil Leandro "frz" Fukuda Gomes Brazil Gabriel "sutecas" Dias Argentina Matias "Saadhak" Delipetro
