Team Heretics replace Comeback with Koshmaras due to communication issues

Team Heretics has announced that newly added Duelist player Berkcan "ComeBack" Şentürk is leaving the team immediately. In his place, Lithuanian player Martynas "Koshmaras" Namikas will be joining the roster. The move comes in the middle of VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - EMEA Stage 1 and shakes up the dynamic of the team.

    Communication problems

Comeback joined Team Heretics in October 2025 after their star Duelist Dominykas "MiniBoo" Lukaševičius left the roster. Since then, Heretics has struggled in the EMEA scene. One of the issues the team faced was the language barrier between Comeback and the rest of the roster. The Turkish Duelist, who also flexed Sentinel, had difficulty learning English, which reportedly impacted the team’s performance.

In a video on X, Head Coach Neil "neilzinho" Finlay explained that this roster move was mainly due to that issue:

“He has been taking lessons and improving but it’s come to a point where we aren’t seeing enough progress and it’s starting to hinder the team”

    Different views on the game

After their loss against Natus Vincere last week, the team also noticed differences in how players approached the game. According to neilzinho, Comeback didn’t share the same view of the game as the rest of the roster, which ultimately clashed with the team’s identity and led to the decision to part ways.

Following the announcement, Comeback released a statement of his own:

“Our playstyle and our thoughts on the game were opposite and at this point it was the right decision for both sides to separate. This process was not at all easy mentally for me, but while I was here I did everything I could.”

    Team Heretics brings on Koshmaras

The move came suddenly, and with Stage 1 progressing rapidly, Heretics held trials to find a fifth player. The player who fit the team best was Duelist Koshmaras. He has several years of experience in the Tier 2 EMEA scene and joined DNSTY only a few days ago. While he has mainly played Neon in the past, he will be taking on a flex role with Heretics.

Mert "Wo0t" Alkan will step into the main Duelist role, with Koshmaras acting as a secondary Duelist when needed. The change shakes things up for the roster, but according to neilzinho, the team is ready to fully support Wo0t moving forward.
