TSM have announced that Taylor "drone" Johnson has been benched from their active roster.

In a year where the North American organization has neither won any silverware nor competed at the prestigious Masters tournaments, the change comes deservedly after yet another disappointing result. A 1-2 defeat at the hands of regional counterparts Noble means a shocking 17th-32nd place exit at VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - North America - Challengers 1 - Open Qualifier, and more frustration amongst team members and fans alike.

TSM FTX have made active efforts to take the team back to the highs of last year. Over just the past few months, the squad has gone through multiple changes, initially bringing in now T1 player Braxton "Brax" Pierce to create a six-man roster, replacing the coaching services of Taylor “Tailored” Broomall with those of Chet “Chet” Singh, and most recently with the signing of Sean "bang" Bezerra. The squad has a very different face from what it was just six months ago, but so far they have ended up on the wrong side of things.

Drone has been a long-standing member of TSM FTX, who saw most success in 2020, winning FaZe Clan VALORANT Invitational, T1 x NSG Showdown, and Knights Invitational Gauntlet Series amongst others, and a second place finish at First Strike North America Regional Final. The explosive entry has had countless highlight plays with Phoenix, finishing his stint at the organization with a 1.16 rating and 1.28 KD. TSM FTX will no doubt be fielding calls from rivals for drone’s services and time will tell if such a radical move will turn out to be the right one.

Alongside this roster change, the organization has revealed that they will be trialing players to find a new 5th man in anticipation of VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - North America - Challengers 2 - Open Qualifier, which is scheduled to begin July 29th.

With this change, TSM FTX now are:

United States James “hazed” Cobb Canada Matthew “WARDELL” Yu Canada Yassine “Subroza” Taoufik United States Sean “bang” Bezerra

United States Taylor “drone” Johnson (benched)
