Two regions bow out as BBL Esports and All Gamers are eliminated from Masters Santiago
Day 5 of VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Masters Santiago 2026 playoffs saw not just two more teams book their flights home; it closed the door on two entire regions. BBL Esports and All Gamers, the top seeds from EMEA and China respectively, were eliminated from the lower bracket after falling to G2 Esports and Paper Rex. With their exits, Americas and Pacific now stand as the last two regions standing in Chile.
G2 Dismantle BBL in Dominant Fashion
The night kicked off with G2 Esports versus BBL Esports, and it was over before it really began. G2 delivered one of the most dominant attacking performances of the tournament on Haven, steamrolling their way to a 13-5 victory that left little room for argument. BBL found slightly more footing on Breeze, making the scoreline a touch more respectable, but G2 leaned hard on their defensive structure and closed it out 13-8. A clean, clinical 2-0 sweep.
BBL were the furthest-reaching EMEA representative at this event, but even their best wasn't enough against a G2 side that looked sharp and purposeful throughout the series.
Paper Rex Overcome Resilient All Gamers
The second series of the night was a slightly different story. All Gamers came out swinging on their map pick, Corrode, with a stunning attack half that visibly stumped Paper Rex. Playing the map for only the second time this year and the first time at Santiago, AG clearly had a trump card hidden up their sleeves and managed to edge out the map 13-10. It was a statement opening from China's top seed.
But Paper Rex quickly recalibrated. On their own pick of Pearl, PRX's superior map knowledge shone through, particularly on the defensive side, and they closed it out 13-7. The momentum fully swung from that point. On Split, PRX came out guns blazing with a dominant 9-3 lead at the half, putting AG on the back foot. The Chinese side couldn't mount a comeback, as Paper Rex sealed it 13-4, completing a 2-1 victory.
Similar to BBL, AG were also the furthest-reaching Chinese team in Santiago. Even though the rest of the region failed to really make an impact, AG did manage to remind everyone that VCT CN is still a credible threat.
What's Left in Santiago
The final four at Masters Santiago is now set. Nongshim RedForce and NRG meet in the upper bracket final, while Paper Rex and G2 are set to clash in a lower bracket final that promises an incredible series.
PRX are chasing back-to-back Masters titles, while NRG are hunting for consecutive international championship wins — two feats that have never been accomplished before. G2 and Nongshim, meanwhile, are both vying for their first-ever Masters trophy, though G2's experience might give them a slight psychological edge over the explosive Nongshim squad.
The Road Ends for EMEA and China
For all the promise BBL and All Gamers carried into Santiago, the tournament has proven that depth across the Americas and Pacific remains superior. Both sides gave their regions something to be proud of, but the climb from here belongs to just four teams, and the final chapter is only getting started.
