VALORANT Patch 12.02 shakes up Harbor and Reyna
The second VALORANT patch of 2026 is here. Patch 12.02 brings major adjustments to Harbor, changes to Reyna, UI updates, and a long list of bug fixes.
Agent Updates
Harbor has once again received changes aimed at making him more competitive in the agent pool. Rather than tweaking just a few abilities, Riot Games focused on increasing his baseline power. As a result, several cooldowns have been reduced and ability durations increased. You can find more details on Harbor’s buffs here.
Reyna
Reyna is another agent getting attention in Patch 12.02. While she remains a dominant pick in ranked play, Riot is looking to encourage continued aggression after securing a kill. The reduced duration of Soul Orbs and the new temporary overheal on Devour force players to make faster decisions to maintain their advantage.
Soul Orbs (passive orbs that appear after a kill)
- Duration in world decreased from 4s >> 3s
Devour
- Overheal applied by Devour is now temporary and lasts 10s
- Healing applied while in Empress is still permanent
Empress
- Ult points increased 6 >> 7
Deployables can be concussed
Riot has also introduced a new interaction where certain Agent ability deployables can now be concussed. The affected deployables are Gekko’s Wingman, Skye’s Seekers, and Raze’s Boom Bot.
General updates
Several cosmetic updates have been made to improve clarity and overall game feel. The Social Panel has been adjusted, and UI damage indicators now appear for objects that take damage while under player control. For example, Skye’s Trailblazer and Tejo’s Stealth Drone will now show damage indicators when being shot.
Bug fixes
As expected, Patch 12.02 also includes a wide range of bug fixes, particularly for PC players. Some were minor, such as a visual issue with the gold VFX trail on the Champions 2021 Karambit. Others were more impactful, including a bug where Vyse’s Shear could sometimes destroy deployables like Gekko’s Thrash and Skye’s Trailblazer.
Overall, Patch 12.02 focuses on making Harbor even better and VALORANT smoother and more consistent across all platforms.
