VALORANT's molodoy? FURIA reaches verbal agreement with alym

FURIA is set to have a molodoy to call their own in VALORANT. According to a report from THESPIKE Brasil, the Brazilian organization has reached a verbal agreement with Torogul "alym" Baidyldaev, an 18-year-old Kyrgyzstani player from QoR, for the upcoming season of the VCT Americas. All that remains now is for the two parties to sign the contract and alym will officially become FURIA’s newest addition.

ALYM is FURIA's Chosen One

According to this report, alym took part in a series of tryouts with FURIA over a month ago, making a strong impression on the organization. Besides alym, the team also tested several other names from North America and Europe for the Duelist role. Two of these were the Canadian Timothée "Timotino" Lavigne Dupont, who stood in for TSM at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Ascension Americas, and the French Sylvain "Veqaj" Pattyn, who was released by Gentle Mates to negotiate with other teams.

Now, alym is set to join FURIA as the team’s new Duelist, where he will join Gianfranco "koalanoob" Potestio, from Natus Vincere, and Arthur "artzin" Araujo, formerly of MIBR, who also have verbal agreements with the Brazilian team. In addition, Luis Henrique "basic" Tessaro has his spot on the roster guaranteed at least through 2026.

One of the breakout stars among the lower tiers of the North American VALORANT scene in 2025, alym competed at the VCL 2025 - North America: Stage 3 with QoR, finishing in 3rd place as the team’s star player. Now it's onto the big leagues for alym, where the opposition is about to get a whole lot tougher.
