With VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Americas Stage 1 group stage out of the way, it’s time for the playoffs to begin. Compared to VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Americas Kickoff, Stage 1 has already shaken up the standings across the region. Here’s a bracket and team breakdown as the real action gets underway.

    Format and bracket

Americas Stage 1 is one week behind the other regions. While China has already crowned its regional winners, the Americas are just getting started. The playoffs run from May 14 to May 25. Just like the other regions, the playoffs will use a double-elimination format, with group stage standings determining team seeding. All matches are best-of-three, except for the Lower Final and Grand Final, which are best-of-five.

All teams in Group Alpha finished with the same 3-2 record, meaning head-to-head results decided the final placements. MIBR came out on top and earned a direct spot in the upper semifinals. In Group Omega, KRÜ Esports secured the top seed, a complete turnaround from Kickoff.

On the other side of the spectrum, former world champions NRG and Brazilian squad LOUD enter the playoffs through the lower bracket after barely qualifying. Unlike the other teams, they won’t have a safety net: one loss means elimination.

    Teams to watch

As mentioned earlier, Stage 1 has already produced some very interesting standings heading into playoffs. With multiple upsets and fan favorites like Sentinels already eliminated, the bracket is set for some exciting matchups. Here are a few teams to keep an eye on as the playoffs progress.

    KRÜ Esports

One of the biggest forces heading into the playoffs is KRÜ Esports. Due to VISA issues, KRÜ’s main roster was unable to compete during Kickoff and was temporarily replaced by the KRÜ Spark squad. Missing an entire event seemed like a massive setback, but once the main roster finally hit the stage, everything changed.

KRÜ went on to defeat every favorite in its group and secured the top seed, putting the team just one series away from Masters London. Beating some of the best teams in the Americas has made KRÜ one of the most dangerous squads in the bracket.

    MIBR

MIBR had a shaky start to Stage 1 but continues to impress in the server. With star players like Erick "aspas" Santos and Zachary "zekken" Patrone leading the way, the team is hungry for another international appearance.

After defeating every other playoff-qualified team from Group Alpha, MIBR established itself as the strongest squad in the group. Their only losses came against ENVY and Cloud9, the two teams that ultimately missed playoffs. Starting with an advantage in the bracket could be exactly what MIBR needs to lock in a spot at Masters London.

    Leviatán

Another team stepping up is Leviatán, which hasn’t appeared at an international event since VCT 2024 - Champions 2024. LEV started Stage 1 strong, winning its first three matches and all but securing a playoff spot early on. Even though the team dropped its next two series, it has still looked dominant on the server, with its aggressive Neon compositions coming alive throughout the stage.

After struggling to find consistent success in the Americas previously, Leviatán’s current roster is showing a lot of promise heading into playoffs and could be set for a return to the global stage.

    NRG

While several teams in the Americas deserve attention, the final team on this list has to be NRG. The former world champions have struggled to find consistency during Stage 1. Losing two of their five matches dropped them to the fourth seed, forcing them to begin their run in the lower bracket.

It’s a very unfamiliar position for the team, but the pressure could bring out the best in the squad. If not, there will be no NRG at Masters London.

    Predictions

With so many teams tied in the group stage and several underdogs stepping up, predictions are especially difficult this time around. Seeding could end up playing a major role, or none at all.

Our predicted top three heading to Masters London are KRÜ Esports, MIBR, and G2 Esports.

But of course, anything can happen on the server, and nothing is guaranteed. The next two weeks will decide which teams fans will see competing on stage in London.
