VCT to host Agent Showcase Showmatch at VALORANT Masters Santiago
The VALORANT Champions Tour has officially announced via its social media accounts that it will be hosting a special showmatch ahead of the Grand Finals of VALORANT Masters Santiago, and this one comes with a major reveal attached. The showmatch will serve as the official showcase for Agent 30, the newest agent in VALORANT to join the roster.
While not a new concept, VCT's pre-Grand Finals showmatches have become a fan-favorite tradition. These events typically feature a colorful mix of international and regional content creators alongside professional players, split into two competing teams. Santiago is no exception, and the VCT has already confirmed the names of the two squads: Completo Gaming and Weones Malos.
Meet the Teams
Completo Gaming will be captained by Malena "Suga" Souto, the beloved desk host and analyst-turned-content creator. She'll be joined by Óscar "mixwell" Cañellas, the former G2 Esports player and universally recognized fan favorite, as well as SoyPan, the 25-year-old Argentine content creator bringing some South American flair to the lineup.
On the other side, Weones Malos will be led by tck10, a Brazilian streamer under the Cloud9 banner. His squad includes Paula "bstrdd" Naguil, the Chilean pro player currently competing for MIBR GC, and Daniel "furq" Furquim, a Brazilian semi-pro and streamer for Team Solid. More roster spots for both teams are yet to be announced.
What We Know About Agent 30
Details on the new agent remain sparse, but early teasers suggest Agent 30 could feature a healing ability reminiscent of both Sage and Skye. Perhaps most intriguingly, some speculation points toward Agent 30 being a functional replacement for Sage, potentially inheriting a revive ability — though Riot Games has yet to confirm this officially.
The showmatch promises to be a spectacular blend of entertainment and intrigue. With fan-favorite personalities and a brand-new agent on full display, it's shaping up to be an unmissable curtain-raiser before the Santiago Grand Finals crown their champion.
