Zyppan joins Eintracht Frankfurt for Intel Monsters Reloaded 2026

Former VCT 2022 - Stage 2 - Masters Copenhagen champion Pontus "Zyppan" Eek is officially joining Eintracht Frankfurt for Intel Monsters Reloaded 2026. The Swedish legend will replace Ondřej "MONSTEERR" Petrů, who has recently been allowed to explore other options.

An experienced leader for a young roster

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Zyppan compete at this level. Since the disappointing run at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - EMEA Kickoff with Gentle Mates, the Swedish Masters winner hasn’t managed to land another spot in Tier 1 VALORANT.

Eintracht Frankfurt came into this offseason after a strong run at the highest level of EMEA, fighting through the Play-Ins at VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - EMEA Stage 2 before falling to Team Liquid in the match that would have given them a chance to play in front of the Barcelona crowd in the final weekend.

However, despite their crazy run, something had to change to break through a ceiling the team most likely had already reached. If this Eintracht Frankfurt roster was missing something, it was experience, and Zyppan has plenty of it.

Now, Zyppan will play alongside one of the brightest prospects in the whole region, Jamelinho213, most likely as second Duelist. Having such an experienced player close to him could be a crucial factor for the young French prospect, who now has the chance to learn from one of the most successful players in the history of the region.

Eintracht’s Intel Monsters Reloaded roster

Although it’s an off-season tournament with only four teams that didn’t qualify for VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Champions Shanghai, Intel Monsters Reloaded 2026 will give us a chance to see a possible new roster competing for a spot in VCT EMEA 2027.

Just yesterday, BBL Esports announced the addition of three new players, which is a big sign of tryouts going on; now Eintracht revealed the first move of their off-season. Even if last year wasn’t great for Zyppan — as he didn’t reach the VCT EMEA Play-Ins with CGN Esports — experience matters, especially on young teams, so this has the potential to end up being a great move for the German organization.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s lineup for Intel Monsters Reloaded 2026 will be:

• David "Fizzy" Figueiredo
• Pontus "Zyppan" Eek

It’s still unknown whether Zyppan will join the Eintracht for next year, but as might be the case for BBL as well, a strong showing in this tournament could give the newcomer a spot in one of the most interesting lineups coming up from Tier 2.
