It’s not the best SMG in Warzone, but don’t follow the sheeple who underestimate and overlook this powerhouse. The FSS Hurricane is a rock-solid B-tier in the Warzone gun meta (and a powerhouse A-tier in MW3 meta) that’s well worth your consideration… especially with a loadout like this to run with.

Some might even call it Warzone’s most versatile weapon (who needs a Lachmann Sub anyway?).

With its tidy blend of smooth handling, low recoil, and aggressive, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it rate of fire, once you kit your FSS Hurricane out with a beast mode loadout, you’ll be a (gale) force of nature to be reckoned with.

How do you unlock the FSS Hurricane?

You know the FTAC Recon Battle Rifle? Well, crank that bad boy up to Level 16 and you’ll unlock the FSS Hurricane for your arsenal.

Pro tip: Not got the FTAC yet? Then you’ll need to pal around with the M4 until it reaches level 13, first.

What is the best FSS Hurricane loadout in Warzone?

A build like this goes a long way toward complementing the FSS Hurricane’s reliable rate of fire and easy-to-handle recoil.

The Lockshot muzzle helps rein that recoil in and make it as tame as a puppy (without taking anything away from the FSS Hurricane’s bite). Combo that with the XTEN rear grip for some tasty buffs to this SMG’s sprint-to-fire and ADS speeds.

Meanwhile, the FSS OLE-V laser and the Demo Quicksilver Stock crank the Hurricane’s mobility and handling up to a whole new level, making it a much stronger contender against some of the other, more favorable SMGs.

Throw in the Overpressured ammo choice and the easier time of landing your shots that it gives you, and you may well have found a new favorite for your close-range combat.

Perks and equipment

Overkill is always a must with any kind of SMG, as otherwise you’ll be up a certain creek without a a certain paddle when it comes to distance encounters. Rock into battle with something that gives you that long-range killing power, like an assault rifle, an LMG, or a sniper.

Double Time is another tried and true perk for any SMG user – it’s the only way to stay as mobile as you need to be if you’re going to draw out the FSS Hurricane’s full in-your-face potential (and we’ll fight anyone who disagrees).

Fast Hands and Overkill go together like burritos and spice, which is to say “perfectly”. There’s nothing worse than needing a swift switch to your long-range backup, only to find yourself taking one to the head because you weren’t fast enough on the draw.

You could argue Ghost as the best choice for your final perk in an FSS Hurricane loadout, and we sure as Skittles won’t fight you on that. But for our money, High Alert makes an excellent choice. Really though, either will serve you well as you zip around the map hunting down your next kill.
