Surprise surprise, a new season of Warzone 2 has shifted the gun meta like a landslide once again. But rather than wasting the whole season trying to figure out the best loadouts for the best weapons, we've done all that time-consuming leg work for you.

That's what this guide represents – the best loadouts for Warzone 2 to keep you ahead of the meta, top of the leaderboards, and always making those winning choices.

What's the best gun in Warzone 2 right now?

Generally speaking, the best gun in Warzone 2 is always going to be one with low recoil, rock-solid DPS, a competitive TTK, and a gun that's an absolute machine in medium and long-range gunfights.

In the current Warzone 2 meta, that makes the Tempus Razorback your best gun choice. That said, Warzone 2 Season 6 really has levelled the playing field between the guns like never before, making personal preference between the top picks more relevant than ever.

The Tempus Razorback is an easy-to-use assault rifle with pinpoint accuracy, made all the more deadly by this top tier loadout. Its recoil is almost non-existent, which, alongside its razor-sharp long-range accuracy with this loadout, more than makes up for its slightly less-than-godlike TTK.

With an almost 10% pick rate, the Tempus tops our list of best guns and best loadouts for Warzone 2.

If you’d told us a few seasons ago that the BAS-P would be considered one of the best, if not the best SMG in Warzone, we wouldn't believe you either. But, here we are.

You'll find this gun a surprisingly great all-rounder, and an absolute monster for aggressive up close and personal run-and-gun type gameplay.

The high-risk, high-reward, rapid TTK Kastov 762 absolutely dominated the meta until recently. These days, it's got a lot more heavy competition, but it's still a top choice in Warzone 2 for mid-range gunfights and those who play aggressively.

The Lachmann Sub never goes out of style, and has been a regular fan favorite among Warzone 2’s battle-hardened elite for some time now. With this loadout, this SMG will prioritize mobility and ADS speed, be super easy to use and control, and earn its rightful place in the ongoing meta (despite recent nerfs).

How do you choose the best Warzone 2 loadout?

Between all the guns and attachments, Warzone 2 gives you hundreds of potential combinations for your loadout. Choosing the best from the bunch can be pretty intimidating, especially when you're new to the game.

Most players will use the Overkill perk, although no longer a default perk and requires a Wildcard slot,, which lets them take two primary weapons into battle. And most will then choose one weapon that excels and long range and another that's better at close to medium ranges.

That said, plenty of the best weapons can be customized with a loadout that makes them top performers at medium to long range.

We'd suggest you aim for one of the weapons we've featured in this guide, since they’re part of the current meta, and get a feel for your personal preferences,  as they will have a big influence on which weapons you rely on most, and which perks suit your play style best.

What is the best loadout Warzone 2 beginner?

Hang on, didn't we just tell you to go for one of the guns that we featured in this guide?
You bet your rifle butt we did, but most of the best guns in the meta aren’t available immediately to beginners.

If you're just getting started on Warzone 2, we'd suggest grabbing the M4 assault rifle and using that to learn the maps and get a feel for the game and your preferences. Check out our guide on the best M4 loadout here.

    FAQs

What is the current best loadout in Warzone 2?

A strong current setup pairs the Krig C as a primary assault rifle with an LC10 or C9 SMG as secondary. The Krig C performs well at mid-to-long range with high accuracy and bullet velocity, while the LC10 or C9 dominates close-quarters fights. This combination gives balanced versatility across all engagements.

    Is Krig C sniper support?

Yes. The Krig C is often used as a sniper-support rifle thanks to its steady recoil and strong mid-range performance. It bridges the gap between assault rifles and snipers, helping you handle fights when your sniper isn’t ideal for close or mid-range combat.

How to get zero recoil in Warzone?

You can’t completely remove recoil, but you can minimize it. Use attachments like compensators, muzzle brakes, under-barrel grips, and rear grips that improve stability. Combine these with recoil-control tuning and short bursts while firing to keep aim steady. Perfect recoil control comes from setup and practice, not elimination.

What does “meta” mean in Warzone?

“Meta” stands for Most Effective Tactics Available. In Warzone, it refers to the weapons, perks, and loadouts that perform best in the current update. Players follow the meta because those setups provide the highest advantage in fights.

What’s the fastest-killing gun in Warzone?

Fast-firing SMGs usually have the quickest time-to-kill (TTK). Weapons like the Kompakt 92, C9, and Ladra currently stand out for close-range speed, while certain ARs like the BP50 remain strong in mid-range duels. Proper attachments and tuning make a big difference in achieving those fast kill times.
