The new league system has brought new faces to the top league in EMEA and fans have been waiting to know the details about it for some time now. The wait is over as Riot Games announced the participating teams of VCT 2023 - EMEA League, including some of the teams with the biggest fan bases.

This year, there will be three different competitions, welcoming 30 teams, as covered. One of them will take place in Berlin, Germany and the teams that will compete are set. Apart from the existing teams, new faces are also in the league.

VCT 2023 - EMEA Teams

  • Karmine Corp
  • KOI
  • BBL Esports
  • Team Liquid
  • Fnatic
  • Giants Gaming
  • Team Vitality
  • Natus Vincere
  • Team Heretics
  • FUT Esports

BBL Esports, Team Liquid, Fnatic, and Natus Vincere are going to continue their grind at the highest level of action. BBL picked up two wins and three losses in each stage of EMEA Challengers and failed to make it to the playoffs this season. Natus Vincere had the same destiny as the Turkish team. Team Liquid and Fnatic were more dominant last season as both teams made it to the Champions İstanbul stage. Moreover, Fnatic even won the Stage 2 Challengers.

The French team, Karmine Corp, have joined the league, as expected. They are on the rise as an organization and their VALORANT debut was in the VRL 2022 France: Revolution Stage. KC lost to Vitality with a score of 3-2 in the semi-finals. Alongside KC, Ibai’s organization KOI have also been announced. KOI had a disastrous performance at CRL 2022 Spain Rising Stage 2 but saved themselves from demotion by taking down Real Betis. Giants Gaming and Team Heretics are the last two on the list that was accepted to participate in the new system. Giants are your VRL Spain winners and Team Heretics had failed to make it to the playoffs in the same league. However, Heretics used to be one of the most successful teams in Europe, thanks to their First Strike championship. The second French team of the league, Team Vitality reached the VRL finals but they got reverse-swept against FUT Esports. Lastly, the VRL Finals winners, FUT Esports, will also compete in the top EMEA tournament, announced by Riot Games.

"It has been a long and complicated process, that has undergone many different phases and a lot of teamwork. But it has been very satisfying. We knew that we had a great proposal and that Giants as a brand deserves to be in a league like this. We are very happy with the result." said José Ramón Diaz, owner and CEO of Giants.

This year, the competition will start with the VCT 2023 - Kickoff Tournament and we will watch all the EMEA teams in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
