FURIA and Evil Geniuses win in nerve-wracking VCT Americas Playoffs

The first day of the VCT Americas Playoffs was a thrilling affair, with both FURIA and Evil Geniuses winning in close matches.

In the first match, FURIA faced off against Leviatán. The two teams were evenly matched, with each team winning one map. The second map, Pearl, was a back-and-forth affair that went to overtime. In the end, Leviatan prevailed 20-18 to take the series to the decider map. On Bind, FURIA had no big trouble to end the match and win the series by 2-1

FURIA's victory sets up a Brazilian derby against LOUD in the upper bracket semifinals. The winner of that match will secure a spot in the VCT Masters in Tokyo.

The second match of the day saw Evil Geniuses take on NRG Esports. Once again, the two teams were evenly matched, with each team winning one map. In the end, Evil Geniuses prevailed to take the series 2-1.

Evil Geniuses' victory sets up a match against Cloud9 in the upper bracket semifinals. The winner of that match will face the winner of the FURIA-LOUD match in the upper bracket final.

Both FURIA and Evil Geniuses played well on day one of the VCT Americas Playoffs. They will need to continue to play at a high level if they want to win the tournament and secure a spot at the VCT Masters in Tokyo.

Evil Geniuses vs. Cloud9

The winners of those matches will advance to the Upper Bracket Final, which will be played on May 26. The winner will secure a spot in the VCT Masters in Tokyo.

Only 3 teams from VCT Americas can qualify for the VCT Masters Tokyo

The VCT Americas Playoffs are now underway, and only 3 teams will be able to qualify for the VCT 2023 - Masters Tokyo. This means that every match and every round matters, as teams will be fighting for their spot in one of the biggest VALORANT tournament of the year.

LOUD, FURIA, Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses are one step away from making it to Japan, where all the best teams in the world is going to be put together, but only one will be crowned World Champion.
