The first day in Manchester is over. Cloud9 and 100 Thieves are your first semifinalists of VCT 2022 OFF SEASON - Red Bull Home Ground 2022 as both NA teams have placed first in Group A and Group B. FUT Esports and FOKUS have been eliminated and the other teams will compete with each other in the quarterfinals.

Group A Results

FOKUS started the day with a shocking win over Cloud9. The European organization failed to keep the momentum and couldn't make it to the playoff stage. On the other hand, Cloud9 came back with Xeppaa’s incredible efforts and led Group A to get the semifinal ticket. The American player is currently the rating leader of the tournament. Team Vitality and KRÜ Esports are the second and third-seeded teams, Vitality with two wins and KRÜ with one win. FOKUS are out of the tournament despite having the same amount of wins with the LATAM team, after a late call by the officials.

Group B Results

100 Thieves had a dominant performance in Group B, winning all three matches to book a semifinal ticket. Despite missing nAts and Redgar, Team Liquid came second with the stand-ins Meddo and Enzo. Jamppi stepped up for his team and held the best rating on the first day. Team Heretics placed third and FUT Esports are the only team without a single win in the group stage.

There were some must-see performances on the first day of Red Bull Home Ground and the playoffs will be even more competitive for sure. More information on the event can be found on the events page.
