While the original Immortals lineup was very successful, they’ve been slowly picked apart by other organizations. Peter "Asuna" Mazuryk and Quan "dicey" Tran have joined 100 Thieves, while Yannick "KOLER" Blanchette has found his way to NRG Esports. That has left Immortals with three spots to fill ahead of their participation in the Renegades x NSG VALORANT Invitational and First Strike, and today, they’ve announced their three new members: Jason "neptune" Tran, Jason "jmoh" Mohandessi, and Andrew "ShoT UP" Orlowski.

Each of the players has a background in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. jmoh was less successful than the others, never really making it past the ESEA/Mountain Dew League level. ShoT UP and neptune both represented Ghost Gaming: ShoT UP only for a short while in late 2017 and early 2018, neptune for far longer. Neptune spent several years with the relatively high-profile organization, before departing in mid 2018. Ghost and neptune’s biggest success came when they finished 2nd in ESL Pro League Season 8 North America.

In VALORANT, neptune and ShoT UP found themselves representing the same team again, though not at the same time, with Morning Light. ShoT UP left the team relatively quickly, playing with them up until the FaZe Clan VALORANT Invitational. However, he managed a 248 ACS and 0.91 KPR with the team, playing fragging agents like Phoenix and Reyna. neptune stepped in to replace ShoT UP and played with Morning Light for longer, including their later events where they really established themselves as a force to be reckoned with. The most high-profile of these successes came when they won their group and finished 4th in the PULSE Series. They ultimately climbed as high as 11th in THESPIKE.GG’s North American rankings. As for jmoh, he was part of the originally announced Noble lineup, and also played with them at the Pulse Series, registering a 289 ACS and 1.01 KPR playing Jett.

The Immortals rebuild is officially complete, and they’ve found themselves some shining talent from the tier 2 scene. Now, the question is whether or not they can reach the status their organization has given them, and punch above their supposed weight as First Strike draws closer and closer. We’ll get our first look at them in action in this weekend’s Renegades x NSG VALORANT Invitational.

With their retooling complete, Immortals are:

United States Noah “jcStani” Smith Mongolia Amgalan “genghsta” Nemekhbayar United States Andrew “ShoT UP” Orlowski United States Jason “neptune” Tran United States Jason “jmoh” Mohandessi

Australia Jordan “Gunba” Graham (Coach)
