With the conclusion of VCT GC 2022 - Championship, it was understood that the months that followed before the new season would witness a slew of roster changes from several organizations that wish to partake in the developing GC scene. Even though the infamous Cloud9 White decided to disband looking for more opportunities, other rosters remained fairly similar with only a couple of new faces coming onboard as was the case with Misfits Black introducing Ethan "edith" Bryce Cutlip as a replacement for Ava "florescent" Eugene.

As opposed to most other organizations, Misfits made an entry into the Valorant scene only for the Game Changers route by debuting their Misfits Black roster in February 2022, a few weeks before the start of the season with VCT GC 2022 - North America Series 1 - Open Qualifier. Despite being relatively new to the scene, they managed to secure a 9th-12th place against some of the region’s best teams including C9 White, Gen G. Black, TSM X and Shopify Female. They were consistently participating in regional events to iron out any kinks in their roster before attempting to qualify once again for the Main Event. Once again, fate wasn’t kind to them as their final opponent was C9 White. After a hard-fought battle, they accepted their elimination.

Their persistence eventually paid off as they won Pittsburgh Knights Sakura Cup - #8 and Super Girl Gamer Pro - Summer 2022: Championships within a short period of each other. With the tournaments wins boosting their morale, they attempted to qualify for the Championship a final time in Stage 3 and they were successful in doing so through the Upper Brackets as well. Making it to the main event was easy but facing the top 8 teams in the region wasn’t and this fact became eminent soon as they fell to the Lower Brackets in Round 1 but were able to force their way to the Lower Bracket finals against Shopify Female. They were within arm’s reach of going to Berlin for the Championship as the matchup reached decider after a thrilling contest between the two teams. Unfortunately, they couldn’t capitalize, and Shopify emerged victorious.

Florescent was a key member of the roster ever since her introduction as she contributed to the team’s success as a Jett and Neon main. She finished 3rd on the Players leaderboard for Stage 3 of GC series with a 1.38 Rating on 294 ACS. Her replacement is none other than a former Gen. G Black member, edith, who had joined the roster in the latter part of the year but had still managed to shine individually with a 1.43 Rating on 293 ACS playing Chamber, Raze and Jett in their limited time.

With this announcement, the roster is as follows:

United States Presley "slandy" Anderson United States kxtieoh United States Zoe "Zoessie" Servais Canada Vernina "Verninaa" Gozum United States Ethan "edith" Bryce Cutlip

United States Greg "Grego" McAllen (Head Coach) United States Alex "Alexlihing" Li (Team Manager)
