Movistar Riders disband their VALORANT team

Movistar Riders have officially released their roster following mixed results since signing them in October.

Formerly known as SICKO MODE, Movistar’s lineup has generally been around the second or third best team in Iberia, often just falling short to GIANTX. First Strike, though, was something of a disaster, as the team didn’t make it past a single Open Qualifier in four tries.

Movistar’s biggest success was their third place finish in the NGL Open Cup, beating out teams like eXiLe eSports, Team Singularity, and HEET. They also won the Legion Defiance Cup, and took second places in the LVP - Genesis Cup Visión and ROG VALORANT Master Series Invitational #2.

All of Movistar Riders’ former roster - Javier "dragunov" Sánchez, Carlos Enrique "scarx" Sánchez, Vladyslav "kiles" Shvets, Cristian "doAm" Ribeiro, and Jose Luis "koldamenta" Aranguren, are now free agents.

As said in their tweet, Movistar Riders will still likely form a new squad for 2021 Champions Tour. Who do you think they will sign up?
