“If The Sun Burns Out Tonight” arrives as the VALORANT Champions 2026 anthem

The VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Champions Shanghai anthem, “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight,” is officially out, marking the beginning of the most prestigious event of the VALORANT competitive season. The world’s best teams will gather in Shanghai, China, to battle for the trophy and the title of World Champions, bringing the 2026 season to its conclusion.

The VALORANT Champions 2026 anthem brings back Grabbitz, the artist behind the iconic anthems “Die For You” (2021) and “Ticking Away” (2023). This time, he is joined by Oliver Sykes of rock band Bring Me the Horizon and Courtney LaPlante of heavy metal group Spiritbox.

The track was written and produced by Grabbitz, with Oli Sykes also contributing to its production. Meanwhile, the music video was created through a collaboration between Riot Games and Brunch Studio.

Champions references

A Champions anthem wouldn’t be complete without bringing back past winners and iconic players from VALORANT’s history.

The moment NRG lifted the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions trophy is featured in the music video, alongside Zheng "ZmjjKK" Yongkang screaming on stage and Max "Demon1" Mazanov standing on the desk during VCT 2023 - Champions.

The video also highlights some of the more emotional moments in VALORANT history, including Wang "Jinggg" Jing Jie crying after losing the 2023 Grand Finals against Evil Geniuses.

Near the end of the music video, the four regions are represented by four players who competed at VCT 2024 - Masters Shanghai and are now returning to the city two years later to battle for the Champions title. They are:

• Zheng "ZmjjKK" Yongkang (VCT China)
• Timofey "Chronicle" Khromov (VCT EMEA)
• Jason "f0rsakeN" Susanto (VCT Pacific)

VALORANT Champions 2026

The final competition of the season is almost here. VALORANT Champions 2026 will take place in Shanghai from September 24 to October 18, with the world’s best teams battling for the title of 2026 world champions.
