Everyone started grinding out VALORANT once its ranked mode dropped a few weeks following the game’s launch on June 2nd, 2020. We witnessed Act I and its battlepass content, and the community’s complaints about the pacing of unlocking its tiers. Well, we are at its end, and Riot Games finally revealed the rewards you are going to get after your hard work and dedication to climbing the ranked ladder on VALORANT before the start of Act II.

The studio’s latest blog post goes into detail on Act I’s ranked rewards, the upcoming changes for the game’s competitive mode in Act II, and improving transparency and clarity into your rank changes, along with solving some pain points for high rank players. There are several new introductions, including “Act Ranks,” which track your proven skill throughout VALORANT’s multiple Acts, highest ranked win, and # of competitive wins in the Act.

In addition to that, it will reflect your 9 best ranked wins of the act, and how many wins you’ve gotten. This means even if you throw away a few games when you were Diamond that pushed you down to Platinum, the game will remember your peak rank for the Act. All these achievements can be accessed through your Career tab.

The Act Rank triangle mechanic is very interesting to say the least. It allows you to show off the wins you got at different ranks, piling up in the form of little triangles to form a bigger one. As you gain more wins in higher ranks, the ones you got in the lower ones will get replaced. Not only that, its border changes when you hit the 9, 25, 50, 75, and 100 win milestones.

The Act Rank Badge won’t be rewarded for Act I, but starting from the second one, it will show your friends and the community your top nine ranked wins. However, unlike the Act Rank progress, only the most recent Act Rank Badge will show in your Career tab. Riot Games shared their commitment to continuously improving the competitive mode, the transparency on ranking changes, and more.

What do you think of the VALORANT ranked rewards for its first Act? What do you want to see added in the future? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
