Earlier today, we reported on Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks leaving fish123, then being accused of cheating and match-fixing a few hours later. There were Snapchat conversations between him and ROYALS’ player, Jack “kpiz” Pragnell, showing ardiis engaging in match-fixing and betting on games. Not only that, he reportedly wanted to bring in a cheater as a “super sub” to fish123 to finish out close games to keep their momentum going.

Svarenieks decided to finally respond to the accusations through his Twitter account, and offered a Twitlonger telling his side of the story. At first, he instantly denied all the accusations against him on the subject, in addition to pointing out his concern over engaging in any of these activities, even during the shared video featuring the Snapchat conversation.

However, later on in his statement, he admits to attending a demonstration of how the entire match-fixing process works through Discord. He continues to stress the fact he never went through with the idea, and considered the serious consequences of such actions. Ardiis attributes giving the process thought purely due to his financial situation and struggling Counter Strike: Global Offensive career at the time.

Once VALORANT competitions came around and his tremendous performances with fish123 put him and the team in the spotlight, ardiis and the cheat code developers were in touch for the second time. This brought up another chance to explore the same idea of match-fixing and bypassing tough competition to win tournaments. Again, ardiis admits to considering the concept as he was still struggling financially, but never actually took actions upon these intentions.

On the other hand, the Anti-Cheat Police Department dug up more chat conversations and even payment histories between ardiis and the reported cheat code developer. The receipts indeed have ardiis’ last name, Svarenieks, and his initials. The player expressed his willingness to cooperate with Riot Games, Valve, and any investigative parties needed to prove his innocence of these accusations.

There were several rumors that ardiis’ departure from fish123 was for a ‘big offer’ from reportedly G2 Esports. The Spanish esports giants revealed today their first member of the VALORANT roster, Oscar “Mixwell” Cañellas Coloch.
