It has been announced by Riot Games that Berlin, Bangkok, and Sao Paulo have been chosen as the host cities for the upcoming Challengers Ascension events. The full reveal has been announced shortly after Bangkok, Thailand, was announced as the official host of the VCT Pacific Ascension event. Here is the schedule and dates of the upcoming VCT Ascension events happening over the course of late May to early-mid July.

    VCT Ascension EMEA

VCT Ascension in EMEA will be hosted in Berlin, Germany, the same host city as for the ongoing VCT EMEA International League. Here is the schedule and dates of the event:

    • Online Group Stage: June 30 - July 4
    • On-stage Playoffs: July 13-16

The group stage will be played in an online environment while the playoffs will take place at the VCT EMEA Coliseum in Berlin. A total of 10 teams will participate in the online group stage with a round-robin format with top 2 teams from each of the five groups staying alive and continue on in the playoffs. There, a single-elimination bracket with a best-of-five finals awaits to crown the winner and grant a ticket to the VCT EMEA International League.

    VCT Ascension Americas

Same as VCT LOCK//IN, the Challengers Ascension event will be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The dates are as follows:

    • June 30 - July 9

The event will be held in two separate locations in what appears to be a full LAN experience. The initial stage will be played without an audience in the VALORANT Brazil studio. The next location is yet to be revealed but will involve a live audience.

The event will see 6 teams participate, 2 from Challenger Leagues of Brazil and North America and 1 from both, LATAM North and South.

The format will see two groups of 3 teams each with a double elimination bracket. The playoffs will be played in a best-of-three format followed by a best-of-three grand finals.

    VCT Ascension Pacific

VCT Ascension Pacific is also split into a group stage and playoffs stage. The dates and schedule is as follows:

    • Group Stage: June 28 - July 4
    • Playoffs: July 7- July 9

The event will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, and will be the country's debut international event in VALORANT. The 10 days of VALORANT action will be on full display in front of a live audience.

The group stage will feature 10 teams, 1 from each of the Challengers regions. The teams will be split into two groups of five teams each and put into a gruelling Single Round Robin format with best-of-three matches. Top 3 teams from each of the two groups will stay alive and advance to the playoffs of the event. There, a Single Elimination Playoffs bracket awaits with best-of-three matches and a best-of-five grand finale.

With only one winner of each Ascension event, some of the single-elimination formats may result in brutal outcomes.
