The ex-Fnatic player, Andrew "braveaf" Gorchakov, has signed a contract with the Turkish team, İstanbul Wildcats. IW will be his first official team after leaving Fnatic.

Some rumors pointed at İstanbul Wildcats getting into the last 20 teams to be accepted for the VCT 2023 EMEA League partnership but in the end, they failed to get a slot. However, it was known that Wildcats were going to invest more in their VALORANT branch. The organization won the last Turkish League of Legends tournament and they have now turned their attention to VALORANT. For the first time, a Turkish team has signed a foreigner to compete in the regional tournament.

braveaf competed for different teams, such as One Breath Gaming and Team Finest, before joining Fnatic. He made his name known under the Fnatic jersey but he parted ways with the team controversially. Since then, the Russian player worked on his own and did not sign with a different team. He is holding a 1.05 rating and a 208.9 ACS. During his Fnatic journey, he mostly played Sova and Sage.

braveaf is the first announced player of the Wildcats and the roster will be clear in the upcoming days or weeks.
