Cloud9 complete VCT 2024 Americas League roster

Cloud9 have announced their new roster for the upcoming Americas League competition. According to the announcement, the organization kept Erick "Xeppaa" Bach, Jake "jakee" Anderson and added Francis "OXY" Hoang, Anthony "vanity" Malaspina, Maxim "wippie" Shepelev, and coach Ian "Immi" Harding.

Last year, Cloud9 didn’t have the best start to the season, despite forming a strong roster on paper. The organization signed yay, and it was considered one of the biggest moves of the offseason. However, they placed 9th-16th at VCT 2023 LOCK//IN. C9 made a couple of roster changes and showed life pulse as the season proceeded, and the players had better chemistry. In the end, they placed fourth at VCT 2023 Americas League and barely missed the chance to represent the region on the international stage. Later that year C9 placed 3rd at VCT 2023: Americas Last Chance Qualifier, and the season ended before attending any of the international challenges. As the season came to an end, C9 parted ways with the majority of their roster.

Cloud9 have completed their roster for the coming season

According to today’s announcement, Cloud9’s new roster for the 2024 season is set. The staff decided to keep Xeppaa and jakee within the organization while changing the remaining pieces. OXY was a member of the G2 Esports roster last year and took the Duelist responsibility for the organization. OXY holds a 1.24 rating and a 1.25 K/D. The other new signing of C9 is wippie, who also played for G2 alongside OXY. His favorite Agent was Astra in the past year with 26 kills, and wippie holds a 1.06 rating and a 1.14 K/D overall. The last piece of the roster is not a stranger to the jersey. Vanity used to play for C9, and now he returned to his old team for the 2024 season. He lastly played for Shopify Rebellion, and his current rating is 1.0. C9 have also acquired Immi to be the new coach of the team.
