Convergence India Closed Qualifiers: Schedule, teams, and format
Earlier this week, Riot Games South Asia announced their first-ever international VALORANT event named Convergence in Bangalore, India. This tournament is a partnership between Riot Games and The Esports Club to host the VALORANT OFF//Season tournament, with teams from VCT Americas, VCT EMEA and VCT Pacific.
In the initial announcement, there were six invited teams from the VCT League, and one was undisclosed. The new announcement from Riot Games revealed that the seventh and final team will be from India after they qualify from the India Closed Qualifiers.
India Closed Qualifiers: Teams, schedule, and format
The India Closed Qualifiers are set to start from November 30, 2023 and it will follow the double elimination format. The upper bracket and lower bracket finals of the closed qualifiers will be live streamed on December 2nd and 3rd on the YouTube channel of The Esports Club.
This tournament will be crucial to the team to prove their potential and to gain experience against the top squads around the world. The qualifiers will have six Indian teams fight for one spot for the VALORANT OFF//Season tournament. Here are all the invited teams:
- Reckoning Esports
- True Rippers
- Medal Esports
- Downfall Esports
- Team Respect
- Grayfox Esports

The goal behind Convergence is to grow esports talent in India and the qualifiers are a testament to the hyperlocal opportunities we are creating for our VALORANT community in the region.”
All these teams have received the invitations based on their domestic performances throughout the 2023 VALORANT season.
How to watch the Convergence event
Starting on December 14, the main Convergence event will be broadcast live in English on Riot Pacific Channels and Hindi on Riot's South Asia channels. The Esports Club will also carry the broadcasts on their channels.
