DRX to play TEN Global Invitational without HYUNMIN, Flicker steps in

Only a few days remain until TEN VALORANT Global Invitational 2025 kicks off on November 8. Right before the event, DRX has announced that they will be playing without their star Duelist, Hyun-min " HYUNMIN" Song. Instead, young prospect Yoon "Flicker" Tae-hee will step in for the squad.

Flicker is a young player who came up through DRX Academy. He joined the organization in July and competed during the EWC VALORANT - Esports World Cup 2025. Since then, Flicker has been on the sidelines while DRX made their incredible run at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions.

On DRX Prospects, Flicker played more of a flex role, being seen on Agents like Yoru, Sova, and Viper. With DRX missing their main Duelist, it’s likely Flicker will take over that role for the TEN Global Invitational in Korea.

TEN VALORANT 2025

TEN is a tournament organized by The Esports Night and Riot Games, featuring four invited teams competing for a $27,872 USD prize pool.

The matches will take place at Hoseo University Asan in South Korea. Representing South Korea are DRX and Nongshim RedForce, while Team Heretics will compete from EMEA, and Wolves Esports are the sole representatives from China. The event runs over two days, November 8 to November 9.

ReiNs Missing as Well

HYUNMIN isn’t the only player sitting out this tournament as Enes "RieNs" Ecirli from Team Heretics has been called into military service. As an emergency substitute, Patryk "paTiTek" Fabrowski will be stepping in. He previously subbed for Heretics during a longer period at the start of 2024.

The reason behind HYUNMIN’s absence remains undisclosed. After DRX’s golden run at Champions 2025, where they placed third, all eyes are on how DRX will perform without their key Duelist in the lineup.
