FUT Esports, Team Vitality, and 100 Thieves’ journey continue in Sao Paulo, while Global Esports, RRQ, and EDG are out of the race. Here is everything you need to know!

    Team Vitality - Global Esports

The first day of the match started on Global Esports’ pick, Split. Despite winning the first round with a defuse, Global Esports failed to show existence on the defensive side. Team Vitality demolished the Pacific representatives and grabbed nine rounds in the first half. Karel "Twisten" Ašenbrener had one of the best performances in his career with 20 kills and five deaths only, holding a 2.1 rating and 389 ACS. The Czech player pierced GE’s defense like a bullet and didn’t give a chance to his opponents. GE’s Ganesh "SKRossi" Gangadhar finished the first half with only two kills and a 0.41 rating. Global Esports once again won the pistol round with a solid attacking performance, but they couldn’t show any presence and lost four rounds in a row, indicating the end of the match. Vitality won the game with a score of 13-4 and made a strong start to the competition. Twisten had 23 kills and a 1.8 rating at the end of the first half. Michał "MOLSI" Łącki followed him with 18 kills and a 1.47 rating.

Team Vitality picked Pearl for the second map of the series and lost the pistol round one more time. This time Global Esports had a better showing on the attacking side and snatched five rounds. GE’s attacking performance and strategies looked decent on Pearl with Cahya "Monyet" Nugraha’s 12-kill Astra performance in the first half. Even though Vitality had a small advantage, they failed to keep it in the second half. The EMEA representatives looked lost on the attacking side and failed to get past GE’s defense. Monyet was on fire on both ends of the competition, and he held a 1.81 rating on defense. The Indonesian player grabbed four first bloods and didn’t let the opposing players into the bomb sites. Global Esports won the second map after 21 rounds, 13-9, and forced another map in the series to keep their hopes alive.

It all came down to Lotus to decide the winner of the competition. Not surprisingly, Global Esports won the pistol round and the following round to hold the lead in the early stages. After the first gun round, Team Vitality sat behind the wheel and won seven rounds in a row. The EMEA team closed the first half with eight rounds after a solid performance on the attacking end of the match. Jokūbas "ceNder" Labutis stepped up for his team for the first time in the matchup by holding a 1.47 rating on Killjoy. Guess what, Global Esports won the pistol round in the second half as well as the second round, but again and again, Vitality took control after the first gun round. The EMEA representatives won five rounds in a row to close out the series, 13-6. MOLSI completed the map with a 1.32 rating on Fade, while SKRossi of Global Esports only had a rating of 0.43.

    FUT Esports - RRQ

The second match of the game started where the previous teams left off, Lotus. It was Rex Regum Qeon’s pick, but FUT Esports dominated the match on both ends. RRQ planted the bomb four times in a row in the early stages, but FUT had an answer for all post-plant scenarios. RRQ won two rounds in the first half while FUT successfully defended the bomb sites 10 times. Konuralp "qw1" Şahin’s Neon came in handy for the Turkish team as the talented player ended the first half with 13 kills and a 1.49 rating. Buğra "MOJJ" Kiraz performed even better on Killjoy with a 1.52 rating. On RRQ’s side, all players combined had 13 kills, which pretty much sums up what kind of a match was played in the first half. FUT’s dominance continued in the second half, and the Turkish organization won the game easily after 16 rounds, 13-3. Furkan "MrFaliN" Yegen stepped up on the attack and held a monstrous 3.12 rating with nine kills and only one death.

FUT Esports’s map pick of the day was Pearl. This time, RRQ showed a better performance and fought until the end. The Pacific representatives had a slight lead after the first half, 7-5. Emmanuel "Emman" Morales’s KAY/O was very effective on the attacking turn, and he finished the half with a 1.61 rating. qw1’s Jett kept FUT in the competition as he grabbed a couple o very important kills while holding a 1.23 rating. FUT started the second half with two wins in a row, but then we saw a four-round streak from RRQ. Most fans were sure the series would go to the decider map, but Pearl ended with an exciting twist. FUT Esports didn’t let RRQ reach the map point and won six rounds in a row to complete the comeback and end the series with a score of 13-11. Shield and MOJJ both had 20 kills, and with qw1’s six first bloods, it was a real show from the Turkish team. It is the end of the road for RRQ, while FUT will continue their journey in the next round.
