G2 Esports has announced that long standing player Oscar Cañellas "m1xwell" Colocho has returned to active duty following 40 days on the inactive bench.

It was announced back in mid January that G2 benched Mixwell following their unexpected early exit in the VCT 2022 - Europe - Stage 1 - Closed Qualifier 1. In the same announcement, G2 revealed that Cista "keloqz" Wassim would make a return to the active lineup after being benched himself after his debut LAN at VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - Masters Berlin - Playoffs and VCT 2021 - EMEA Last Chance Qualifier.

G2 have showed great improvements over the past month with keloqz in replacement of Mixwell, they currently sit at 1-1 in Group B of VCT 2022 - EMEA - Stage 1 - Challengers - Main Event, a close 1-2 defeat at the hands of Fnatic and straight 2-0 win over Papara SuperMassive. With their recent form it’s unclear as to why this roster change was made but we can only suggest that Mixwell is back on top form and ready to propel G2 into the qualifying spots in Group B.

With this roster shuffle, G2 Esports now look like:

Spain Oscar Cañellas "m1xwell" Colocho Denmark Auni "AvovA" Chahade Lithuania Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas Finland Aaro "hoody" Peltokangas Sweden Johan "Meddo" Lundborg

Russian Federation Daniil "pipsoN" Meshcheryakov (Coach)
