G2 Esports has announced that their in-game leader Jose Luis "koldamenta" Aranguren will be leaving the team.

koldamenta was one of the most important pieces of the VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - Europe Masters winners, Acend. He was bought out by G2 and announced on 2nd June alongside AvovA and nukkye. During his time at G2, koldamenta reached the VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - Masters Berlin - Playoffs semifinals, but faced a loss against the tournament’s winner, Gambit Esports ending in 3rd-4th place. After the Berlin Masters, G2 had another chance to qualify for Champions but failed to do so as they ended 3rd in the EMEA Last Chance Qualifier. As the in-game leader, he is known for playing Astra, Sova, and Skye.

Rumours around G2 Esports are that they will likely include the addition of the duo from Giants Gaming, Meddo and hoody, the latter being the ex in-game leader of the Spanish organisation.

With this change, G2 Esports roster is now:

Spain Oscar Cañellas "m1xwell" Colocho Denmark Auni "AvovA" Chahade Lithuania Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas France Wassim "keloqz" Cista
