Despite acquiring Bryce "PureR" Lovell and Noah "jcStani" Smith days before the Stage 2 Open Qualifiers, Gen.G Esports was unable to earn a spot at VCT 2022 - North America - Stage 2 - Main Event. So, once again, they have decided to introduce change to their roster by parting ways with Shawn "Shawn" O'Riley, who was the only remaining member of their core.

Ever since the start of the new VCT season, the team had to encounter unpleasant fate as they failed to to qualify from either of the Stage 1 Qualifiers, eliminating them from the race to the VCT 2022 - Stage 1 - Masters Reykjavík. This performance caused the organization to re-evaluate plans for the roster and initiate efforts to begin the process of restructuring, which eventually led to Bryce "PureR" Lovell and Noah "jcStani" Smith being brought as replacements for Kenneth "koosta" Suen and Loic "effys" Sauvageau.

As mentioned earlier, the revamped roster failed to live up to expectations as they finished no better than a 13th-16th place in VCT 2022 - North America - Stage 2 - Open Qualifier 1 after losing close encounters with Luminosity Gaming and 100 Thieves, and 9th-12th in the subsequent VCT 2022 - North America - Stage 2 - Open Qualifier 2, where Built By Gamers Academy diffused their hopes of qualifying for VCT 2022 - North America - Stage 2 - Main Event.

Shawn "Shawn" O'Riley has been a long-standing member of the Gen.G roster competing in tournaments for the organization since October 2020. He helped the team succeed in low-tier events such as a 1st place at Pittsburgh Knights Before Christmas. Gen.G was arguably in their best form during Stage 1 of VCT 2021 when they managed to secure a 3rd place at VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - North America Masters only a few days after a 4th at VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - North America - Challengers 3. Due to frequent roster changes, their performance stagnated while other teams rose through the ranks surpassing them on several occasions.

However, they managed to maintain the 5th-6th spot in most tournaments securing them a rank among the top ten teams in the North American region based on circuit points in VCT 2021 earning them a spot at VCT 2021 - North America Last Chance Qualifier. Nonetheless, they couldn’t capitalize on the opportunity and were eliminated from a chance to play at VCT 2021 - VALORANT Champions 2021. During his time with Gen.G, Shawn has played six different Agents, but he is usually known for his spectacular usage of Skye and Kay/O. Over the last three month s, his performance has seen a slight deterioration as statistics display an average 0.99 Rating, 188 ACS and 0.96 KD.

With these changes, Gen.G’s roster is as follows:

United States Nicholas "NaturE" Garrison Bosnia and Herzegovina Emir "rhyme" Muminovic United States Noah "jcStani" Smith

United States Andrew "Blank" Leverette (Manager) Australia Chris "Elmapuddy" Tebbit (Coach)
