NRG has officially signed former Team Liquid star Georgio "Keiko" Sanassy to complete their VCT 2026 lineup.

Following their win at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions, NRG sought suitable replacements for their long-term star, Sam "s0m" Oh, after he announced his departure from VALORANT. While it was initially uncertain as to who would step in and fill his shoes, it has now been revealed that the team has acquired former Team Liquid star keiko to take over the Controller position.

Keiko was one of the bright spots of a domestically strong, yet internationally weak VCT 2025 for Team Liquid. Throughout the 2025 season, keiko was relied on as one of the team's primary carries as he helped the team qualify for every single VCT international event in 2025.

Keiko in search of international success

Despite winning VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - EMEA Stage 2, his stardom wasn’t enough to help Team Liquid on the international stage. The team struggled to qualify for a single VCT international playoffs stage, ultimately ending with a 9th-12th place finish at VALORANT Champions Paris 2025. Now, the young EMEA star will be taking his talents overseas as NRG’s newest Controller player.

Additionally, keiko’s arrival at NRG marks the end of his two-year tenure with Team Liquid, whom he joined following his time with Apeks in Tier-2.

It will be interesting to see how keiko’s addition into the Champions winning core will fare going into the VCT 2026 season. While NRG are VALORANT World Champions, the North American organization will be eyeing their first domestic victory in the coming season.

For now, keiko will his debut with NRG at Red Bull Home Ground 2025 - Main Event. That VALORANT offseason tournament will take place from November 13-16.
