Rix.GG remove kpiz, add frei and Luzuh as stand-ins

Since their inception as ROYALS, Rix.GG Thunder have been a solid team. After signing with Rix.GG, the team weren’t as consistent, failing to reach top four of GLX EU Battle #2, GLX EU Battle #3, GLX EU Battle #4, and GLX EU Battle #7, while also advancing from groups at LVL VALORANT Clash 2. With these inconsistencies, the team decided to split with Russel "Russ" Mendes, but problems weren’t solved as the squad fell in 9th-12th at GLX Elite Series Main Event and 7th-8th at EPIC.LAN - #31 Online.

With these results in mind, the squad has removed Jack "kpiz" Pragnell, and added stand-ins, Joseph "Luzuh" Loose, and Aaron "frei" Frei.

In his time with the roster, kpiz has played over 1000 rounds on THESPIKE.GG, averaging a 1.02 KD and 201 ACS. Though the closed beta, ROYALS were one of the best squads in Europe, winning Valhalla Invitational’s Weeks 3 and 4, VALORANT Clutch Series Vol. 2, and placing top four at Fnatic Proving Grounds. The Brit played Sage throughout the entire time, only switching to Omen and Brimstone after the recent Sage nerfs, but even with his strong performances, the squad weren’t able to perform to the same standards.

His temporary replacement, frei, has only just transitioned into playing competitive VALORANT. He used to play Counter-Strike in the UK scene, with many of their strongest squads, including FMESPORTS, Fierce Esports, London Esports, and, most recently, Vexed Gaming. As one of the regions best riflers, frei won many events, from Insomnia60 and Insomnia62, to ESL UK Premiership Spring 2016, Spring 2017, and Winter 2018.

Luzuh has also been playing with the squad recently, after splitting from Orgless. Like frei, he played through the UK’s regional CS:GO scene, playing under Fierce Esports and, most notably, Team Endpoint, winning the 20th, 25th, and 28th installments of epic.LAN. In VALORANT, Luzuh has played as a primary Operator, being proficient with Jett, averaging a 207 ACS and 1.03 KD so far.

“Unfortunately we say goodbye to kpiz as the time between now and First Strike gets shorter and shorter. He's a hard worker, and has tremendous skills, however, as a team they weren't able to achieve the results we expected by this point,” the team's manager, Zack "cZer" Chandler told THESPIKE.GG.

“So, like many other teams, it was time for us to try something different while still giving us time to prepare for First Strike. We are excited to see where this change will take us and we hope these temporary fill-ins will lead us to victory.”

With these changes, eyes are on who will be picked up by RIX.GG after First Strike. With the organisation not giving any insight and the recent two removals, the future of the roster is questionable.

With these changes, RIX.GG is now:

United Kingdom Harry "DPS" MacGill Lithuania Tautvydas "hype" Palmavicius United Kingdom Brandon "weber" Weber United Kingdom Aaron "frei" Frei (Stand-in) United Kingdom Joseph "Luzuh" Loose (Stand-in)

United Kingdom Neil "nEiLZiNHo" Finlay (Coach)
