Sacy returns to rep Brazil at ENC VALORANT alongside Less and aspas
The Brazilian VALORANT national team for the Esports Nations Cup (ENC) 2026 has been finalized and will feature some big names. According to exclusive reporting by THESPIKE Brasil, Brazil's lineup for the World Cup of the title will include streamer and former player Gustavo "Sacy" Rossi, who will return to play alongside Erick "aspas" Santos from MIBR, and Felipe "Less" Basso from KRÜ Esports. In addition to them, the team will also feature Arthur "artzin" Araujo from FURIA, Lucca "luk xo" Travaioli from LOUD, and Eduardo "Sato" Nagahama and Rodrigo "spikeziN" Lombardi, both from Leviatán.

The seven players have already been chosen by coach Ian "shaW" Jardim, as he had recently revealed in an interview with THESPIKE Brasil, although they only need to be submitted to the tournament organizers by May 10. The previous deadline was set for this Thursday (the 30th), but was changed this week due to delays in the announcement of some coaches, as confirmed by the ENC's press office in contact with this outlet.
Although the players have already been decided, the official announcement of the Brazilian VALORANT national team lineup, through the Brazilian Esports Alliance (ABE), is only expected to happen from May 24 onward.

Sacy's return to competition and aspas' role
This will be Sacy's first official tournament since he announced his retirement from the game's competitive scene in September 2024, when he left Sentinels. Initially, however, the idea of his involvement with the Brazilian national team was meant to be off-server, as a sort of ambassador or staff member. Between late March and early April, though, he was convinced to play in the tournament following conversations with shaW and aspas. The invitation was, in fact, accepted by Sacy before his brother's passing, which occurred on the 7th of this month, and even before he stated, during a live stream, that he "would play this World Cup".
As for aspas, who took part in the "convincing process" for Sacy, he had considered not competing in the tournament, but promptly accepted the invitation after talking with shaW and artzin, and was further motivated when he learned, at that point, that Sacy himself was already on track to join the team. In fact, when the MIBR star revealed he was "ready" for the Brazilian national team, in an exclusive interview with THESPIKE Brasil on April 21, he was already aware that he would be called up
Starters and substitutes
Regarding the starting lineup of the Brazilian VALORANT national team, no final decision has been made yet — mainly because the ENC is still roughly six months away, meaning there is plenty of time left and a meta shift in VALORANT could impact roles. Still, the team's structure will revolve around aspas, artzin, and Sacy.

Points System
It is important to note that, according to the ENC's regulations, selected players will earn points based on their own recent results. The Brazilian national team, for example, will include Sacy, who will have zero points because he has not competed for roughly a year and a half. Despite this, Brazil is still expected to be one of the countries with enough points to receive a direct invitation and avoid having to compete in the South American qualifying stage.
Esports Nations Cup (ENC) 2026
The first edition of the VALORANT ENC will take place between November 8 and 15 of this year, in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The tournament will bring together 32 national teams, each made up of the five best players from their country, competing for the title.
