Skadoodle reveals he will be back with T1 "when the time is right"

During the Knights Invitational Gauntlet Series, the absence of Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham from the T1 squad for their three matches sparked controversy on the player’s status in the team. Some even went as far as claiming he has been dropped from the roster. However, with Pop Flash VALORANT Invitational closing in, Skadoodle decided to finally clarify the situation on why he hasn’t been playing with T1’s roster, and won’t compete in this weekend’s tournament as well.

Skadoodle made it clear that he is still on the team, but has decided to take a step back to expand his agent pool and hone his Operator skills to become more impactful once it is in his hands. He didn’t give a timeline on when we will see him back with the T1 squad, but stated it will be “when the time is right.” In the meantime, it is possible we are going to see him act as a stand-in for other teams to maintain his match sharpness and competitiveness.

T1 was knocked out from the Knights Invitational Gauntlet Series Group Stages, failing to grab the win against Gen.G Esports and Renegades, which caused them to finish 3rd in their group. Danny "fRoD" Montaner filled in for Skadoodle, and managed to average 245 ACS across the three games he participated in, finishing the tournament with a 1.13 K/D Ratio and 0.9 Kills Per Round.

Whether fRoD will continue to act as a substitute for T1 even after Skadoodle returns is yet to be seen. For now, we are going to see T1 Academy's Daniel "eeiu" Vucenovic take his place to play alongside Victor "Victor" Wong, Braxton "Brax" Pierce, Keven "AZK" Larivière, and Austin "crashies" Roberts in the Pop Flash VALORANT Invitational. They have been placed in Group B, with ENVY, Immortals, and Sentinels. Considering their recent disappointing tournament results, all eyes will be on T1 to perform.

How do you think T1 will fare against the competition this upcoming weekend? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below!
