T1 have been crowned the champions of SVL - 2025: Main Event, stopping Fnatic's attempt at a reverse sweep and cleaning the match up 3-2. This marked a strong debut of T1's new roster with the addition of Byeon "Munchkin" Sang-beom, fueling discussions of this being Korea's new superteam.

T1 look deadly with their new roster

T1 looked dangerous during their run in the tournament, not dropping a map until a narrow third map against Fnatic. The Korean powerhouse tore through teams, turning their aggression up a notch by running mostly double duelist compositions. Their triple duelist composition on Abyss in particular looked unstoppable, running Fnatic down round after round on the final map of the Grand Final and securing their tournament victory in 13-0 fashion.

Munchkin proved to be a fantastic pickup for the team, ending the tournament with the highest rating at 1.17 while calling for the team as its new IGL. Ham "iZu" Woo-joo was once again a standout player with the second highest rating at 1.15. With this victory, T1 are looking like a top contender once again coming into 2026.

It might also be worth mentioning that the winners of every year's SVL have gone onto win an international title during their season (Sentinels in 2024, NRG in 2025).

Fnatic lose their 4th consecutive Grand Final this year

Fnatic's end to 2025 almost seems poetic as they lose their fourth Grand Final in a row. Fnatic was originally intended to continue experimenting with new addition Sylvain "Veqaj" Pattyn at SVL 2025, yet Jake "Boaster" Howlett's illness left him unable to attend the event in Korea.

Without their charismatic IGL, a key piece of the puzzle for their success this year, their loss here should be taken with a massive grain of salt, having Austin "crashies" Roberts to IGL for the first time and former Karmine Corp Blue Stars player Ethan "Sevire" Starke stepping in as a substitute. Heading into 2026, Fnatic have much to work on to start turning those Grand Finals appearances into tournament victories.
