VALORANT Champions Paris 2025: Playoffs bracket unveiled
The group stage of VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions concluded after two weeks of nail-biting action, and the top eight teams have secured their spots in the playoffs. The final match of groups, which saw MIBR sweep Rex Regum Qeon 2-0, was immediately followed by the playoffs draw. With seeding rules in place to prevent teams from the same group landing on the same side of the bracket, the quarterfinal matches are now set.
Champions Paris Playoffs: Opening Matchups
Fnatic vs DRX
This opening clash revives one of VALORANT’s longest-standing rivalries. Fnatic and DRX (formerly Vision Strikers) have had historic battles dating back years. Their last meeting was at VCT 2024 - Champions 2024, where DRX emerged victorious. Both teams are led by some of the most experienced names in the tournament, with Jake "Boaster" Howlett and Kim "MaKo" Myeong-kwan representing two of the highest Champions-attending players in history. With prestige and legacy on the line, this matchup could easily be one of the highlights of the round.
Paper Rex vs G2 Esports
Many fans view this as a dream match too early in the bracket. Paper Rex entered Champions 2025 after finally lifting their first international trophy this season, while G2 Esports arrived with the incredible achievement of a three-peat in the Americas under their belt. Their last meeting came at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025, with PRX securing the win before going on to claim the title. The clash between these powerhouses promises an explosive encounter worthy of a grand final, making this quarterfinal an early blockbuster.
Team Heretics vs MIBR
On the opposite side of the bracket, Team Heretics, fresh off their EWC VALORANT - Esports World Cup 2025 win, will face MIBR. The Brazilian roster built around former Champions winner Erick "aspas" Santos is making its debut playoffs run as an international squad, though their inexperience makes them one of the tournament’s biggest underdogs. Heretics, despite their youthful roster, have already tasted success and carry tournament-winning experience that could give them the edge. This will be the very first time these sides face each other on the international stage.
NRG vs GIANTX
Perhaps considered the least-hyped match of these quarterfinal matchups, NRG versus GIANTX may be deceiving in terms of the narrative. Both teams have exceeded all expectations to reach this stage, with NRG topping their group while even Sentinels fell short. GIANTX pulled off a similar feat, outlasting Team Liquid despite fielding one of the most inexperienced squads in Paris. While some might discount them, this matchup might just end up surprising everyone.
The Bracket is Set
The VALORANT Champions 2025 playoffs bracket is now set, promising fierce battles, historic rivalries, and the potential for monumental upsets. Only one team will emerge as the Champions of Paris.
