How balanced are the groups at Champions Paris?

Off a first glance, many of the groups are relatively even and it is one of the few instances in group draw history where there is no apparent group of death going into VALORANT Champions. However, despite all four groups being even, there are a few standout storylines.

One of the biggest storylines is happening in Group D where the possibility of a VALORANT Masters Bangkok Grand Final rematch between G2 Esports and T1 is on the docket. Additionally, Group B is another fun group as both RRQ and Fnatic, previous first seeds at VALORANT Masters Toronto, will be paired up with China's first seed Bilibili Gaming, who are returning for their third consecutive Champions. Add in MIBR who have 2022 World Champion aspas by their side and you have an extremely unpredictable group as they head to Paris, France.

XLG and Dragon Ranger Gaming fighting to avoid Ascension

Another fun scenario happens between two Chinese teams, XLG and Dragon Ranger Gaming, who are both still fighting for their guaranteed spot in the VCT 2026 season and avoiding Ascension. While these teams will not be facing each other in the group stage, they will be preying on the other teams downfall as the team who places worse at VALORANT Champions Paris will have to go through the Ascension tournament.

VALORANT Champions Paris will take place from September 13, 2025, to October 5, 2025. There, two teams will compete on the stage in Paris, France, where one team will become the next VALORANT World Champion.
