Players are still reeling after the reveal of VALORANT’s upcoming agent, Waylay, a high-flying duelist who will zoom and zip around the battlefield, surprising players with her incredible mobility and wild entry capabilities.

The new agent is a dangerous agent in the hands of the right person, boasting movement speed that makes her a threat to anyone who is holding a site, while also armed with new abilities that apply a new debuff to enemies called Hindering. Players who are hindered have their movement and weapon actions slowed to a crawl, whether you’re running, jumping, reloading, equipping or shooting your weapon, it’ll be as if you’re moving in slow motion.

Waylay release date in VALORANT

Waylay should be releasing alongside the release of this VALORANT season’s second act, and she should be available on March 5, 2025. Prepare for the lightshow, and she flies and dives onto the battlefield as one of the most rapid-fire characters you’ve ever tried out or played against.

She looks like an absolute nightmare to face off against when you’re trying to hold a site, since she can dive in past any defensive setups by sentinels to jump onto site with her Light Speed movement ability, she has a get out of jail free card with her Refract ability that allows her to dive into a fight and retreat unharmed. Her Saturate throwable Hinders enemies, slowing them so they can be easily swung into and eliminated, while her ultimate, Convergent Paths, is a massive beam of light that affects all enemies that are caught in its radius with Hinder.
