Zyra Abilities, Build, Runes & Guide in LOL
Zyra is a hyper-aggressive Support Mage who has such a strong lane presence, her status as an early-game bully can win you games! Here is everything you need to know about Zyra in League of Legends.
The allure of Zyra isn't just a fancy design and a Poison Ivy-inspired kit, it is the presence she has in the laning phase as a Support being able to bully enemy adc's and Supports effectively enough to force them out of Lane.
This means that Zyra and her ADC can normally get ahead in whatever Lane she plays as her Range and zoning potential are ideal for allowing an ADC to farm up or help her bully the enemy laners. If you're looking for a new Support and you love an aggressive playstyle and Zyra might very well be the next Support champion you pick up and master!
Passive: Garden of Thorns

Zyra naturally spawns seeds nearby that lasts for 30 seconds and give her vision of the surrounding area for one second.
After these seeds of spawned enemy champions can destroy them by stepping on them and walking over them, but Zyra can have up to eight seeds planted at one time with her Passive, Garden of Thorns, seeds being prioritized less than her W, Rampant Growth, seeds.
Q: Deadly Spines

Zyra calls up thorns from the ground at the target location that appear after about half a second. These Thorns do up to 220 Magic Damage plus 65% of Zyra’s AP.
If Zyra’s Q, Deadly Spines, hits a seed, it will spawn a Thorn Spitter which remains for eight seconds and deals Magic Damage to enemy champions around it of up to 88 plus 18% of Zyra’s AP for every hit.
The Thorn Spitter has an attack speed of 0.8 attacks per second, as well as a range of 575.
W: Rampant Growth

This ability is very similar to Zyra's passive except for the fact that she can choose where to plant a seed and it remains for 60 seconds rather than 30 seconds.
Once again, this ability grants vision over the area where Zyra plants it, although enemies have to destroy this seed after 1.5 seconds of stepping on it and it also reveals them for two seconds.
Zyra also stocks seed charges up to a maximum of two, and when she kills an enemy 35% of this charge duration is added on, which is increased to 100% for large enemies and getting a kill or an assist on an enemy champion.
E: Grasping Roots

Zyra’s sends forward a wave of vines that deal up to 200 Magic Damage plus 60% of Zyra’s AP, as well as rooting any enemies they hit for up to 2 seconds.
If this ability hits one of Zyra’s seeds it turns into a Vine Lasher for 8 seconds. These deal Magic Damage to enemies around them of up to 88 plus 18% of Zyra’s AP.
The Vine Lashers have an attack speed of 0.8 and a range of 400 units.
R: Stranglethorns

Zyra summons a large circle of monstrous Thorns and vines at the target locations which deals up to 350 Magic Damage plus 70% of Zyra’s AP as it expands.
After two seconds these thorns will snap upwards and knock enemies within it up in the air for one second.
If this ability hits any of Zyra’s seeds or plants, they will become enraged, healing 50% of their current health, as well as increasing their maximum health by 50%. They also get a 25% increase in size and their duration is refreshed whilst Stranglethorns is active.
They also attack in a flurry, meaning for every attack they fire two shots or snap twice depending on the plant. This gives them a 150% damage boost.

Something we don't know exactly is Zyra’s age, but we do know a rough time period. We know that Zyra was born before 13 BN, which makes her at least 1011 years of age.

What race is Zyra?
Zyra is a magical plant being. She is not human. Her body forms through ancient nature magic in the Kumungu Jungle. In the lore, she rises from a mix of wild jungle life and powerful sorcery. Zyra sees herself as nature’s force, not as a person.

Does Zyra plant automatically?
Zyra does not plant automatically. She uses her W ability to place seeds on the ground. When she casts Q or E near a seed, it turns into a plant. Q makes a ranged attacker. E makes a plant that slows enemies. The plants attack enemies nearby for a short time. Players must place seeds and time their spells carefully to deal damage and be effective in fights.
