Lux is one of the most popular champions in League of Legends, but yet a lot of people still don't know how to properly utilize her, and although her kit is relatively linear and simple, there are some great tactics you can utilize to get the most out of the Demacian sorceress.

So whether you decide to play her Mid Lane or in the Support role, Lux will always be a good pick regardless of what your team composition is, and if all else fails you can always one-shot someone with a giant laser beam!

Lux’s abilities in League of Legends

    Passive: Illumination

Whenever one of Lux’s abilities hits an enemy champion, it will apply a mark which lasts for six seconds which will refresh for every new ability hit.

Lux can consume this mark by auto-attacking that champion, or using her ultimate which will do between 30 and 200 magic damage plus 25% of Lux's AP.

    Q: Light Binding

Lux shoots a ball of light in a straight line at the target location, this will deal magic damage to the first two enemies that it hits and it will also root them for two seconds. The damage of this ability  is up to 240 at max rank plus 60% of Lux’s AP.

    W: Prismatic Barrier

Prismatic Barrier is Lux’s primary defensive ability and it throws her wand in the direction that comes back like a boomerang after it reaches the maximum range. Lux and any ally she hits with the wand gain a shield for two and a half seconds, which can stack twice and is equivalent to 100 shielding power and 35% AP.

    E: Lucent Singularity

Lux can send another ball of light to the target location, which when there creates an AOE circle which Lux can explode for 5 seconds. It will also slow enemies within it and it will grant vision of the area as well. The slow is up to 45% up rank five of this ability.

Lux can then recast this to detonate the ball of light which will deal up to 265 magic damage plus 80% of Lux’s AP.

    R: Final Spark

Possibly the most well-known part about Lux’s kit is her Ultimate ability, Final Spark. This has her fire a large laser in a straight line, dealing magic damage of up to 500 plus 120% of her AP to any enemies it hits, as well as revealing them and the surrounding areas. The range of this is 3400 units so get ready to start sniping!

When was Lux released in League of Legends?

Lux has been in the game for over 13 years now and was very nearly released when the game first came out.

Lux was released in Patch 1.0.0.103 which was on October 19, 2010, and she came with the skins Spelltheif Lux and Sorceress Lux!

Where is Lux from in League of Legends?

Lux, or Luxanna Crownguard to use her full name comes from Demacia, where her family have resided for generations. This also includes Garen Crownguard, who you also know as a champion in League of Legends, but who is also Lux's brother.

A lot about Lux's law and personality was revealed in the Sylas release trailer, in which Sylas befriended Lux and then betrayed her to escape Demacian jail.

Lux’s Age in League of Legends

Lux was born in 976 AN which places her at 21 years of age. This is just 5 years younger than her elder brother Garen, who was born in 971 AN.

Although she still relatively young in the League of Legends world, her magical powers still make her one of the strongest people in Demacia, and whilst Demacians aren’t overly fond of magic users Lux is still allowed to reside in Terbisia in Demacia.

Lux’s Voice Actor in League of Legends

Lux's voice actress is Carrie Keranen, who also voices Lux in Legends of Runeterra as well as a lot of Lux’s skins including, Elementalist Lux, Cosmic Lux, and Dark Cosmic Lux.

Carrie Keranen also voices LeBlanc in both League of Legends and legends of rune terror as well.

As we said, Lux is one of the most popular champions in League of Legends and has been for many years - hence why she has 21 different skins in League of Legends alone!

Who is Lux in love with?

Lux does not have a confirmed love interest in the main League of Legends story. She spent time with Sylas when he was in prison. She brought him books and food, and he helped her understand her magic. But he later used her trust to escape and caused harm in Demacia. Their relationship was close but ended in betrayal.

Some fans think Ezreal likes Lux. He seems to have a crush on her, but the lore does not show her returning those feelings. Their connection is small and not romantic.

In alternate universes like Battle Academia and Star Guardian, Lux and Ezreal appear closer. These stories suggest they may like each other. But these are not part of the main lore.

Is Lux a good support LoL?

Lux can work well as a support, but she plays differently from most support champions. She does not heal or protect much. Instead, she uses long-range spells to deal damage and control the lane. Her Q can root enemies, and her W gives shields to allies. Her R can deal a lot of damage if used right.

Lux is strong in lanes where she can poke safely and keep enemies at a distance. But she can get caught easily if she walks too far forward. She also runs out of mana quickly if she casts too often. With smart play and good aim, Lux can be a strong support, especially with ADCs who play safe.

    What is Lux's full name?

Lux’s full name is Luxanna Crownguard. She comes from a noble Demacian family. Her family serves the kingdom and follows strict rules about magic. Even though magic is not accepted in Demacia, Lux has strong magical power and wants to use it for good.

So whether you are going to pick up Lux, because you've unlocked one of these many skins, or because you feel like playing an absolute awesome burst mage, Lux is 100% worth giving a go.
