Riot Games officially announced their Ignition Series esports partnership program earlier this week. The two featured competitions at the time were the G2 Esports VALORANT Invitational and the RAGE VALORANT JAPAN INVITATIONAL, and the studio promised to keep them coming for other regions as well. Shortly after, T1 announced the first ever official VALORANT Ignition Series tournament in the North American region, the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers VALORANT Showdown. THESPIKE.GG has already secured a partnership with the organization and will be your home for live match scores, media coverage, and stats, among other things for the event.

It hasn’t been a couple of days since all this happened, and Riot Games has officially announced three more VALORANT Ignition Series events coming our way: GGTech VALORANT Invitational, Cyber Games Arena VALORANT Pacific Open, and Empire Play North Africa VALORANT Invitational. The latter will feature eight of the top Middle Eastern and North African teams, kicking off its matches on June 26th, 2020.

As for the GGTech VALORANT Invitational, it will cater to the Latin American audience. The event will feature two invitationals, one for Latin America North and another for Latin America South, with 8 participating teams in each. The Southern and Northern regions’ Finals only will be broadcasted on July 2nd, 2020, and July 3rd, 2020 respectively.

Last but not least, the Cyber Games Arena VALORANT Pacific Open will kick off on July 3rd, 2020, and finish on July 5th, 2020. The tournament will offer qualifiers for the teams from Southeast Asian region: Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand. Once all the qualifier winners are known, the VALORANT Pacific Open Finals will take place in August with a yet-to-be-confirmed date.

We witnessed fierce competition during the RAGE VALORANT JAPAN INVITATIONAL, proving that even smaller regions can be a ground for extremely talented players. Do you think we will see this replicated in the newly announced events?
