Another week of competition brought us some phenomenal matchups as VCT 2023 does not cease to hype up VALORANT fans all over the globe. After our debut Players of the Week piece that included the best performers following VCT EMEA's superweek, things have stabilized for now as each VCT International League will have 1 team play 1 match a week. That is until VCT Pacific and VCT Americas have superweeks of their own in late May and late April respectively.

Here are the top 3 players from all VCT International Leagues over the course of April 5-10. All players were sorted and chosen according to THESPIKE Rating first and foremost.

VCT 2023 Pacific League

f0rsaken

It was a matter of time before we saw Jason "f0rsakeN" Susanto make this list. Paper Rex's Duelist main is an unstoppable force in the server. In the matchup against T1 f0rsakeN strayed from his usual Agent pool and instead picked Killjoy, leaving space for the team's new star signing, Ilya "something" Petrov to play on Jett. A masterclass performance on Pearl on Killjoy was followed by a solid Neon show on Fracture to dismantle T1 and grant himself a whopping THESPIKE Rating of 1.79.

Xffero

David "Xffero" Monangin popped off in his team's matchup against DetonatioN FocusMe on Sova and Astra and was a big reason for Rex Regum Qeon's first win in the VCT Pacific League. His absolutely menacing presence on Haven with Sova saw the Indonesian accumulate a THESPIKE Rating of 2.08 with a KDA of 24/7/5, a performance rarely seen in the pro scene. He followed up with an equally great show on Pearl with Astra, this time dialing it down a tone to accumulate a solid 1.4 THEPIKE Rating, totalling 1.74 in the match.

fl1pzjder

Despite his teammate above having an overall better showing against DetonatioN FocusMe, Saibani "fl1pzjder" Rahmad was equally important to his team's victory. A stellar showing on Haven with Breach with a Rating of 1.62 was then followed up with a great presence on Skye on Pearl, where fl1pzjder scored a KDA of 23/9/1. The Indonesian-born showed a masterclass of Initiator play and alongside Xffero showed the public that Rex Regum Qeon is not to be underestimated.

Derke

Much like f0rsaken, Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev was bound to land on this list as well. The 20-year-old had way too much fun in Fnatic's match against Team Heretics as he went on to decimate on Jett on Icebox and Ascent. Boasting a total THESPIKE Rating of 1.87, Derke scored 47 kills in a mere 35 rounds played in total. In addition, he got 16 First Bloods in the match, opening things up effectively to get the upper hand early in almost half the rounds played. Fnatic are yet to lose a match in the VCT EMEA League after 3 matches played.

Jamppi

Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen showed up with competitive spirit to Team Liquid's match against Karmine Corp. Facing former teammates Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom and Nabil "Nivera" Benrlitom, Jamppi put on a show playing Initiator Agents. A quick 13-5 on Ascent and 13-2 on Split put Jamppi on the pedestal as he accumulated a Rating of 1.64 along with an ACS of 316 and managed to get 38 kills with very few rounds played in the matchup.

Sayf

Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel was also instrumental to Team Liquid's victory against KC. Being the team's premiere Duelist, Sayf teamed up with Jamppi to lead the way to his team's victory as he got 8 First Bloods with 36 total kills over the two maps played. A great performance to put Liquid up in second place in the VCT EMEA League.

VCT 2023 Americas League

s0m

Ever since Sam "s0m" Oh joined NRG for VCT 2023, he has shown nothing but promise and he keeps on delivering for the North American team. In a highly anticipated matchup against Sentinels, s0m led the charge on Omen on Lotus and then Viper on Icebox in NRG's clean 2:0 victory in the derby. His THESPIKE Rating of 1.68 in the matchup saw him be the best performing VCT Americas League player of the week as he was crucial in his team's victory over SEN.

bang

Controller players shined as another Controller main comes in at #2. 100 Thieves' Sean "bang" Bezerra was fantastic in the matchup against Evil Geniuses as, much like s0m, he picked up Omen and Viper and led the team's board in terms of Rating. With a THESPIKE Rating of 1.53 after Haven and Icebox, bang shined most on the snowy battlefield as his Viper there was likely the biggest reason for his team's outclass at a 13-5 scoreline. He finished the map with an ACS of 373 and a Rating of 1.94.

jzz

In a thrilling match against KRÜ Esports, mibr managed to slip through after a 3-map thriller that was topped-off with an overtime on the decider map, Pearl. João "jzz" Pedro kept his cool following a loss on Ascent, only to propel his team to fulfill the reverse sweep. jzz picked Sova on the opening map, Ascent, and followed it up with Skye for the next two maps, Lotus and Pearl, showing the world how to play Initiator Agents. jzz accumulated a Rating of 1.34, a KAST of 81.9%, and got 64 kills over the course of three maps played. A fantastic performance in a heated match.
